"Excellent stay "
Stayed at the Fraser suites 14th Jan -18th When I arrived my suite was not ready and had to wait a little while. For this inconvenience the reception staff were very apologetic and offered me a late check out and a bottle of red wine which I thought was fantastic customer service. The staff throughout my stay were professional helpful and always had a smile which is often lacking in so many places around the world. My suite was immaculately clean and the wifi was super fast with a great view of the city. I would recommend this as a great place to stay for family's business or leisure. One thing I must mention is the smell of the establishment throughout the building had a fantastically clean and fragrant odour which was pleasant and was noticed from the moment you stepped in from the busy city street. I would definitely book the Fraser suites again when I'm back in Sydney. The gym was of reasonable size and had most equipment needed for a good workout. The suites are in a fantastic location in the city with most attractions within easy walking distance or if need be town hall station is literally on its doorstep.
I travel a lot and I rent a suite for 9 days and everything is perfect.I would always be extremly happy when returning to my suite,my paradise. Gym is excellent,dry sauna,pool,all cool. Staff is unobtrusive which I like. Room service fast,food great,try linguine and salmon. Location the best,Liverpool street ,Pitt street,George street,Hyde park,Darling Harbour,Wharfs,all close walking. Recommend!!!!
"2nd stay at Fraiser suites"
Recently stayed at Fraser suites for the second time. I was very impressed from my last stay hence why my partner and I decided to come back again but my stay this time had a few hiccups. Checking in: We were staying 1-night this time. I walked into the lobby all happy and excited to be back, I looked at one of the ladies at the front desk to be called over/greeted and she just looked at me with a straight face. I walked over and said hello how are you and all I got back was hello.... I had to do all the talking in order to start the check-in process. I could hardly here a thing this lady was saying she spoke very softly and just looked depressed to be at work. Last time we stayed we only had to pay a bond of $100 per night (we stayed 2-nights that time). I was expecting to only have to pay $100 bond again however I was surprised with a nice $300 bond upon check-in. I was not happy about this and felt like I was being taken for a ride. I said to the lady that last time we stayed we only had to pay a bond of $100 per night... she said that this was not the case and that I had paid by credit card last time because credit card holders only have to pay $100 bond per night and those paying by debit card have to pay $300 bond per night. Well I don't have a credit card, never had a credit card before and I've only ever paid for things via Debit card. So, please tell me why last time I only had to be pay $100 per night from debit card but could not do the same this time''' I even showed the lady an email that I had received from Fraser discussing that the bond is only $100 per night...she decided to offer me a bond of $200 and that was it....she wasn't going any lower. Definitely was not happy and was not a great start to the beginning of our stay. Room: We stayed on the 41st floor in room 4103 the executive room. Beautiful views with a window from floor to ceiling overlooking part of the darling harbour :D Room has everything you need and everything you would expect to be in a hotel room. If you are looking for something bigger and opened I would suggest to stay in the one bedroom executive apartment, we stayed there last time and it was very spacey and amazing (: Love that the hotel is situated in a good location, close to darling harbour and city shops - Perfect. The next morning: After sleeping in the bed I woke up the next morning with red itchy spots all up my legs, back, chest and even my bottom. No idea what it is, or why I have had this reaction but I believe it is from the bed. It has been a day and these spots have not gone and are still itchy - Looks very much like a bed bug bite or flea bites - gross!!!! I do like the Fraser suites, but after my 2nd stay I am hesitant whether or not to stay there again.
"Quality accommodation let down by poor service from front office and house keeping"
Overall quality of apartment matched official four and a half to five star rating. Bed / pillows were comfortable. Leisure facilities: Pool water clean but towels were discarded side of pool (housekeeping/pool attendant '). Gym : well equipped, however blow up gym balls used for posture/balancing were way too flat and posed a risk of injury if used at all let alone for stomach crunches etc. This applied to all sizes. Gym was clean and fresh green apples at towel desk were a nice touch along with plenty of chilled water. Restaurant: even though the rate included breakfast, the only morning that I was in a position to utilise (morning of check-out and on my way to work), I was told by reception that breakfast service commences @ 0630hrs,This was disappointing as I was due at work @ 0700hrs. Yes, I could have ordered room service but this would have incurred an additional charge. Reasonable selection of snacks/drinks/alcohol from mini bar. Fully equipped laundry, though ironing board had a tendency to collapse due to non-locking of latch (OH & S issue) ' House keeping: oh dear, twice during our four night stay (1530hrs and 1330hrs), arrived back at apt to find room unmade. Second time I called housekeeping and was told the following "we prioritise the apartments that are being re-let and then work our way down from there". I was gob smacked that a guest would actually be told this as well as the following 1) indication of insufficient staff servicing the number of rooms, 2) why would a guest be offered this as a reason/excuse for tardiness. Instead of an apology or we will be there in say ten minutes, we actually waited for over an hour beyond the first call to house keeping for the apartment to be serviced and then to top it off, either my friend or myself had forgotten to flush the toilet and upon re-entering the apartment and use of the bathroom, we found the toilet still unflushed post house keeping (attention to detail) ' A number of times we requested additional towels and they were promptly delivered. Front of house staff: Approximately ten days prior to arrival I wanted to organise pre-payment of the tariff as my friend was arriving prior to my arrival. The girl that I relayed my request two required two explanations (arrival/departure date and surname of booking) to process the pre-payment. Eventually she handed on my request to a colleague without any explanation. Post c/o couldn't find my bag that was left.Referred to colleague once again.
"Exceptional Service overall"
Our one bedroom apartment on the 33rd floor was quiet, clean, a little tired but had all the necessary items. Kitchen, mini bar, full fridge, washer/dryer but the microwave didn’t work. The room was divided from the main bedroom to the living area which helps as you can shut the dividing door to reduce noise/light. The staff were generally exceptional overall and prompt. Jess needs a special mention as nothing was a bother. Housekeeping were inpatient though. Some things weren’t done when we arrived but they were soon resolved. Our bed and the lounge were awful though, extremely hard and uncomfortable. Having said that we stayed in a deluxe room previously and the bed was comfortable, so unsure why this was the case. An eclectic breakfast was lovely with fresh blended juices, speciality coffees if needed, and some special items, eg. kale juice. We like the pool/gym area as the pool is clean and a great temperature with a cool feature of windows into the restaurant area below the building. The sauna and spa were not working though. We also love the location and the walk out of,level ten into good restaurants. We tried the Japanese and it was delicious. The hotel is well located close to the shopping area, Darling Harbour and a short walk to Capitol Theatre. We had a breakfast/parking package which was good value. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
