Me gusto mucho el trato amable, fue lo principal. Con ello se sumanlos servicios de buena calidadComment of A. Carlos Alfredo , Mexico the 2015-08-07
Cant say enough good things about the hotel, special thanks to Fabiola front desk, and Ronniel the concierge who went way beyond to help you in any way he could. The rooms were clean and fresh and always a smile from all the staff. The morning buffet was really nice, however I found it to be a little expensive, about $17 per person. overall stongly recommend the Galeria Plaza to anyone planning to stay in Mexico City.
The service was excellent, courteous and friendly. The beds were very hard so those who prefer a slightly softer mattress will will be somewhat disappointed. The morning buffet was nice however, many of the warm items were not very warm. The evening restaurant food was only average. The overall food quality and prices I would rate as slightly above average. The cost of the food for the quality does not match. We found 3 course restaurants within 2-3 blocks of the hotel that had excellent food and service at 1/2 the prices of the hotel food. The hard beds, quality of the food and general prices of the food and rooms are my biggest objections. The location is great!. Only a few blocks to Reforma Ave., several restaurants, shops and convenience stores all within a few block radius. Would we return again' YES, now that we know the layout of the surrounding area. We would eat and drink at places outside of the hotel in the future. The Galeria should review bed comfort, food quality and overall pricing. Please don't misunderstand. This is a fine hotel with good service. It just needs to improve in a few of the above mentioned areas.
"Spacious Room with Strong Wifi"
I stayed with the hotel for 4 nights. The room was spacious! Room was spotless clean with very strong wifi signal. The only complaint I had was the shower tap was not functioning well. The overhead shower and the bathtub tab both worked the same time and I cannot shut off one to use the other (or maybe I don't know how to use it). The controller of the tab was very loose and that could be the root of the problem. On second day when I returned, I noted black particulars all over the toilet seat but can be very easily wiped away. I believed the cleaning lady was a bit careless. The staff at the restaurant were rather friendly though some were expressionless even when I greeted them. The hotel is very close to the Angel of Independence monument (Angel de la Independencia) and but is about 4 km from the main Zocalo Square where all the main attractions and shopping are. It took me about an hour to walk back (you can of course take a taxi) and due to high altitude and dry air, I had to stop twice for a drink. The swimming pool is extremely small at the rooftop but is an awesome place to relax and chill for the day. The hotel is still recommended for a few nights stay as the wifi here is excellent!
"Convenient location but prone to in-room theft"
Convenient location and friendly staff. Good value for money. Unfortunately, on my last day at the hotel, someone with access to my room stole my wristwatch from my computer bag, so that ruined my overall experience.
We really appreciated the hotel staff being friendly and the service they provided to make our stay more enjoyable. We requested assistance to acquire tickets for the ballet folkloric, and the concierge was able to have them delivered to the hotel!
