"Terrific location and well-appointed rooms"
We only spent one night here but we had a great stay. Upon check-in, we were told that we had been upgraded to the Junior Suite. Wow, what an awesome surprise! We thoroughly enjoyed our room even if it was just one night. We were celebrating our honeymoon and enjoyed the complimentary bottle of prosecco on our deck. The bathroom toiletries were great and the room was a great mix of modern contemporary Italian decor which we found very comfortable. Gallery Hotel Art was a great place to stay especially due to its central location in Florence. Since we were only there for one day, we knew we wanted to be as close to everything as possible. We also had fun winding down the evening at Gallery Hotel Art's sister hotel's rooftop bar (at the Hotel Continentale) to finish off our day. We would definitely stay here again!
"Service, location, elegance, comfort, safe"
A perfect base for our Florence visit; associated with service, location, elegance, comfort, safety. Nice to have breakfast service. Cocktails available in the bar are creative and delicious. A hotspot! I do recommend getting out of the touristic core of the city and venturing out to the neighbourhoods - some treasures await you.
"A true surprise in Florence"
This hotel was a true surprise. It is stylish in a sort of "Japanese" modern manner. It is comfortable in all respects. This is not a "bargain hunter" type hotel and prices do go up during holiday and peak periods. Wi-Fi is not lightening fast but, in Italy, at hotels, finding top level US or UK speeds for Wi-Fi is not so frequent. I would have liked to have had a coffee pot in our room but not having one was no big deal. Breakfast at the Fusion buffet offers everything you may wish for (eggs, bacon, cheese, cereals, honey, noneycomb with honey, marmelades, 10 different kinds of tea. If you want to have a meal with a "view" you can have the concierge book a table at one of the other Ferragamo properties in Florence. You'll find the charge on you room bill. Quite a nice and convenient offering. The hotel is part of a group of 4 (Continentale, Hotel Lungarno Florence, Portrait Florence and Gallery Art Florence). There are also 2 other properties one in Florence and one in Rome, I have been told by other patrons that the Gallery Art is "expensive". I suppose when compared to other places it does cost a bit more but you have no need to use a car or a taxi. That is a big saving. The central train station (Santa Maria Novella SMN) is a 15 minute walk away. Pontevecchio is literally on the hotel's doorstep (not even 50 yards away). Just about any central restaurant is within walking distance as are all the Museums (Uffizi, etc.), the Cathedral (Duomo). This hotel boasts top rate professional staff that has maintained a friendly approach (something often lacking even in other hotels even those of the same Ferragamo group). The Front Desk was managed by a number of competent and courteous staff members. I am not mentioning specific names because, during the years, staff tends to change. It is the choice of character traits (possibly done by management) that makes the Front Desk so efficient and friendly. Staff members are often helpful as that should be their job. The front desk staff makes an extra effort and you sense that as something out of the ordinary. Well furnished without being garish. The beds are so comfortable that you almost would want to sleep in if Florence didn't have so many things to offer. Being in a refurbished "older" building the rooms are very quiet. Bathroom amenities include 2 bath robes and the usual array of creams and other useful items including slippers. Cleanliness seems to be a mantra. The housekeeping staff is, for the most part, European which makes communicating easy. If you want to treat yourself and a loved one to a fine experience, a night or two at the Art Hotel Gallery in Florence is truly a great choice.
"Great Hotel with brilliant service!"
Lovely hotel in perfect location very close to Ponte Vecchio and The Uffizi, the staff were lovely and very attentive, the rooms perfect with all the right things in all the right places and the food in the delicious!
"Travelling with my Divas"
Hi I use this hotel for my tour business and this is the 2nd time I have stayed here with a small group. It is in a great location, the rooms are stylish and comfie. The internet is a nightmare (from a business point-of-view it drives me crazy). The team on the front desk and concierge are great overall and certainly make my life a lot easier! Will definitely stay again.
