"The best kept secret"
Everything was nice. Service is excellent. Restaurant (daily grill)excellent. The location is excellent. Rooms need a little upgrading and more attention to maintenance. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.
Honestly, I am surprised by the reviews for this property verses my experience here. The pictures on their website are best case scenario. I understand they are renovating rooms..and I unfortunately arrived to late so nothing left of the updated rooms. I am in a beaten up, outdated, unclean room and not happy at all. No chance of moving as all the other guests are in the more modern updated rooms. They really should not rent these outdated gross rooms at all. The furniture old and beaten up, needs to be thrown away. I drew the blinds and the valence fell off the wall (serious). The bathroom sink has dribbling trickling warm water, hard to wash my face with extremely low water pressure. I only have one bath towel provided. Room service was a disaster.. No one answered the phone, called the front desk and Rachelle took my order in the kitchen. Got a call back to say the menu was outdated and my dinner items no longer available. Heater feels like cold air blowing, even though it's set to 80. The best part about this experience was Rachelle at the front desk who was patient, kind and professional. The bathroom is updated so it feels cleaner than the rest of the room. The robes are nice and the bed is comfy...and I get to check out tomorrow. I would have left already but got into town super late.
"Super Location and Hotel"
The Georgetown Inn is in a great location in the heart of Georgetown. The area bustles with pedestrian activity just two blocks away at the intersection of Wisconsin and M Streets. We rented two suites and were very pleased with the accommodations and relative affordability. The Daily Grill is a nice restaurant with tavern that adjoins the hotel, but there are also plenty of eateries nearby. A bus stop in front of the hotel provides frequent opportunity to get to the Mall for a dollar a ride - and the ride is only about 15 minutes. The Inn is within walking distance of Georgetown University, the Potomac River and Waterfront Park, and the Kennedy Center.
"Fun in Middleburg!"
This is a charming hotel! We just loved the restaurant and pub The room was very comfortable and the bedding was soft and cozy. The bathroom was very spacious and had excellent soaking tub with great water pressure. There were excellent museums, restaurants, and shopping, within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing weekend. I really enjoyed the antique shops all with close proximity to Middleburg. The horse farms are beautiful!
