I only stayed one night, but everything was quite perfect. The room was delightful and comfortable. The room had every amenity you could wish for, and it is in a dream location in the heart of Georgetown. Very impressive, friendly service in a well appointed hotel. Highly recommended.
"Large rooms, comfy beds"
This was our third stay at the Georgetown Inn, so we obviously enjoy staying here. The location is excellent. Not directly on the main drag but a few blocks away, so it is quieter. The beds are really comfortable and linens are fresh and soft. I never have to bring my own pillow! We like that the rooms are large enough for a desk and 2 chairs to sit in to read or watch tv. One is not stuck sitting on the bed all the time. The valet parking is not inexpensive, but the valets are so accommodating and polite, we don't mind paying for the in and out privileges. Plus, we don't have to try and park in Georgetown. This trip, our drain in the shower overflowed, but the hotel had is fixed in about 15 minutes. The only drawback is there is no mini-fridge in the room, so if you have leftovers from a yummy meal, there is no place to keep them. We will be back soon!
"Absolutely perfect location..."
This trip was last minute so we just drove straight to the hotel to see if they had any rooms available. We needed a room with 2 queen/king beds for 2 nights but unfortunately they only had 1 night available which as it turned out wasn't a problem. The room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the road (although not too noisy) and was quite big. There were 2 bottles of water in the room - THANK YOU ! I don't understand why ALL hotels can't do this. If there are 4 people staying in the room there needs to be more towels and toiletries. The hotel itself is within keeping of the surrounding areas but it could do with a coat of paint! All in all a lovely stay... ;-)
"Perfect location and atmosphere for your DC experience"
The Georgetown Inn's location cannot be over-praised! In the center of the best part of Wisconsin Av, right across the stree from Martin's Tavern (where JFK proposed to Jacquie), this is within easy walking distance of everything you want to see and do in Georgetown. And when night comes, you move out to one of the outdoor restaurants nearby to eat, watch the crowd, and suck in the great atmoshpere of Georgetown - unbeatable! The rooms are adequate, but there is a needed renovation process ongoing. Appearantly all bathrooms are now fixed, but most rooms remain to be done. Although there is an old feel to most rooms, do not worry: They are comfortable, clean and provide for a good night's sleep. As for sevice: You will find it, but do not expect too much. The private parking is a great plus for anyone that arrives with a car! For fitness room: Forget the stupid small room on the 6th floor with only one treadmill: Cross the N street and visit the gym there. Why doesn't the hotel provide a guest fitness scheme there instead of placating their useless gym'
This is a great place to stay to visit Georgetown University. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely. Staff members were attentive and helpful. The only negative was that the mattresses were soft.
