"Historic day, bad night"
My Aunt and I shared a room at the hotel for the Women's March. My Aunt is a world famous feminist, and one of the organizers of the event. As a recent Georgetown grad I chose the Georgetown Inn for us because the value, nostalgia and proximity to my friends. Needless to say my Aunt and I needed our sleep with her role being so important to Saturday's Women's March. We had to arrive many hours before the March began. However a restful night never happened. We were awoken just past midnight and stayed awake until nearly 2:30am with the sounds of music that got louder as the night went on. Looking out our window over the parking deck we suspect it was a parked car or room below ours but no, turns out the music was a semi-famous nightclub right next door to the hotel! Why did the hotel staff put us in a room next to the nightclubs music if the hotel was not full' Why should we be subjected to bad versions of "Come on Eileen" in the wee hours of the morning' Why pay a lot of money for a hotel if you're unable to sleep' While my aunt said our bad night was fine and that she drew off the energy of the historcially wonderful day. I, on the other hand, was disappointed with our stay and feel embarrassed and responsible for suggesting the hotel to my Aunt. I rarely fill out reviews but feel compelled to do so after our stay. I'm unsure when I will return to Washington but when I do I'll unlikely stay here again.
"Comfortable rooms and quick walk to shopping and restaurants in Geogretown"
Spacious and comfortable rooms. We needed a refrigerator to keep some food and drink cold and when I called the front desk and asked the refrigerator was at our doors within 5 minutes. They are very accommodating and the valet is very helpful with directions and retrieving your car on a timely basis.
"Wonderful hotel in great location"
This is a great hotel in the heart of Georgetown. Great rooms, amiable staff and excellent restaurant. After I checked in I realized that Trip Advisor had posted a special rate. The front desk immediately lowered my rate to the lower price. We did not meet any staff member who did not greet us and offer to help. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone.
"Great Location & A Comfortable Hotel"
Spending time in Washington DC can be hectic with crowds and expensive hotels. Neither was an issue during our three night stay over Christmas week. The location of the Georgetown Inn is convenient to museums and loads of local restaurants in and around Georgetown. Our hotel room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Our room was recently renovated -- be sure to request a renovated room when booking. Breakfast is available, but not free, with entry to the dinning area through the hotel lobby. Very friendly helpful staff. The bus stop is just outside the hotel which makes getting around the city convenient. No need to drive in DC. Will definitely stay tat the Georgetown Inn again on our next visit. December is a great time to visit DC ..no lines of tourists plus museums are uncrowded and the town is decorated nicely.
"Family vacation "
Everyone in our family enjoyed this hotel. The location is TOPs! If you want to stay in Georgetown and enjoy some of the historic vibe- this is it! Honestly no complaints, everything you would expect. Parking was easy. The only negative is that the on-site restaurant was pricey for breakfast, but you have many options nearby, so just be aware.
