"Good location, adequate room and service"
I would like to give a balance view of this hotel. On the plus side is its location in the heart of lovely Georgetown. There are plenty of great restaurants and wonderful stores in Georgetown at which to pass the time between visits to government institutions and museums. If you like to walk a lot, this is a place for you. But, note that out here in Georgetown you are a long, long way from any of the Metro stops. So, be advised: if you stay here, you will be reliant on taxis to get you to the main part of D.C. Budget accordingly! My N Street- facing room was quiet. The bedroom was fine, but the bathroom was absolute minuscule--the smallest I have ever experienced outside of an airplane. Seriously! There's no way that two people could happily co-exist in their "Senate" room type for more than a few days. Many of the rooms have been completely renovated, as was mine. Be sure to ask whether the room to which you are assigned has been spiffed up! The ceiling was a tad low, probably because this building has old bones. If you're tall, you'll sense it. BTW, the a/c is rather noisy. The front desk service is polite but could be more attentive. I sense they aren't trained in the details. Finally, I hate to knit-pick...but why can't an otherwise polished hotel give real half and a half in those little sealed containers instead of that crummy powdered stuff to go with their in – room coffee service'
"Jewel in Georgetown"
Perfect small classy hotel. Convenient walk to everything. Excellent service. Clean. Easy Parking. I went with my two daughters for a sight seeing and shopping trip. All of the shops and restaurants are in walking distance. Hotel staff was professional and friendly and courteous. I will return .
"In the heart of Georgetown, loved it..."
My mother and I stayed at the Georgetown inn for 3 days, and my stay was upon the recommendation of my friends who stayed at the same hotel when they visited DC. Their advise was right and helpful. The location is amazing, everything is nearby: shops, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, and above that both the city bus stop and Big Bus stop are both at the doorstep of the hotel. The room was cosy and comfortable, a bit dated but still beautiful. The bathroom is medium-sized but still beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel was really above what i expected. Thank you Georgetown Inn.
"Good location in GTown"
The hotel is in the center of Georgetown thus very close to shops and restaurants. Georgetown University is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is vintage but in good condition. Our room was cozy and clean and meet our basic needs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem we encounter was the housekeeping crew started vacuuming our floor at 8:00 in the morning and the vintage door/walls do not provide much sound proof.
"Great location in the heart of Georgetown, friendly staff."
My family and I recently stayed at The Georgetown Inn and we absolutely loved the location, in the heart of Georgetown, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The concierge staff was friendly and welcoming, and the valet staff were top notch. Those were the highlights. Now for what can be improved upon. The room was clean and ample size, but was in need of updating. I was disappointed to discover that there was no mini fridge in the room, which most nice hotels have, and the armoire, which was the only piece of furniture that had drawers in which to put clothing, had broken drawers that were not usable. This is an issue that should be immediately fixed so that hotel guests don't need to live out of suitcases. All in all, we were happy with The Georgetown Inn and look forward to staying there again when we are in the DC area.
