"Superb service "
We came in late and didn't have time to ask for a king size bed room . Later we did and no problem. What impressed me most is the way they acknowledged a 12 year old who wanted be the person to ask foa room change! Customer service was very friendly throughout the visit and professional yet personal. The rooms were very nice (at least the two I saw). Breakfast was small but good quality. All in all the hotel is personal it gives you a cozy feeling. Not for the person looking for global hotel chain approach. We left the hotel with a smile on our faces!
"Dissappointing and overpriced"
GLO Hotel Art's building itself is very beautiful, old and distinctive. The lobby looked very promising too. Service at the reception was okay, nothing special to say about it. Finding the right place was bit difficult because the hotel is pretty rambling. When we arrived to our room I was actually shocked - our room was so small, that it basically contained a bed and a television on the wall. It didn't have a proper bathroom either, just a small glassy box in the side of our "bedroom". The room didn't have any of that old beautiful feeling in it that we saw at the lobby. No minibar, kettle, tea, coffee or whatsoever. I thought that okay, maybe the breakfast will make up the fact that we paid way too much for a mediocre room, but the food was a disappointment too. I don't recommend this hotel at all.
I visited in GLO Hotel Art (07/2015) which isn't the cheapest hotel in the city. The receptionist didn't have any kind of social skills OR customer service skills. When the service is in a level zero, it's hard to like the rest. + The room was clean and nicer than many hotel rooms I've seen. But still, got me cold. I rather go to Klaus K or Lilla Roberts if got to pick a hotel room with that price latter in Helsinki.
"Could be better"
4 nights staying. Small room, small bathroom. Could be better: addding some sweet option to the breakfast, some additional space for luggage (I had to use the sofa for it). In my specific room some issue with the heating system and improving the roome cleaning (dust in the room since the first day till the last one). WiFi for free available all over the structure. Close to the city center (10 mins walking).
"Funky hotel "
This hotel is near the markets but quite a distance to the CBD. The hotel is modern and spacious. I love the bedside light cube so funky. The hotel is clean and the staff are accommodating. Their breakfast smorgasbord is good a lot of selection to choose from. The negative side is no aircon. We have to open the windows to have fresh air but in doing so we hear all the street noises at night. The hotel will provide a fan if you ask.
