"Great for small meetings"
I was part of a small group that stayed at the Parker for a business meeting. The rooms were large, modern and comfortable. The staff was very professional and helpful. They did a great job taking care of our group of about 20 people. I will definitely consider staying there again.
"I haven't stayed at a place in such disrepair....in a very long time"
This hotel needs a major renovation. Everything was just worn out from counters, to furniture to wall coverings, etc. While convenient, there was not too many other things that were positive. I don't see visiting again in the future. Sorry.
"Great Value for a Short Night"
I needed a hotel near Brussels Airport since I would be arriving with my bags just after the last train into the city. It had met my price point and booked the property on a third party website. For those arriving after hours and relying on their free pick up, go to Level 0 and head towards the bus pick up area. The lane furthest from the entrance is reserved for most of the nearby hotel shuttles. When arriving late, the hotel has their own shuttle that can pick you up with a simple phone call. During operating hours, it teams up with other neighboring hotels and then bus can get busy with passengers hopping off and on. Since I called the hotel to request a shuttle, when I arrived at the property, the front desk agent had my reservation ready and checked me in. He let me know which shuttle to take in the morning as I had to take a train to Brussels Midi to take a Thaly’s train to Paris. It was good I listened to his advice as I made it to Midi with enough time to buy some chocolates for my extended trip home. As mentioned, the hotel is only 2-stories tall, spread out. The lobby seemed a bit new and modern. When I got to my room, it had a mix of new pieces, with a rather old bathroom. For just one person, the king-sized bed was big, as well as the room. It was a shame I only got a few hours of sleep on a rather comfortable bed and pillows. I had plenty of space to repack my suitcase and move around the room with ease. I had no problems connecting to their WiFi with adequate speeds. If I had to complain, it would be the bathroom. It either needed a good scrubbing or to be refurbished. The showerhead look like it was recently added and not properly installed as evident with water leak marks on the ceiling of the shower. It did have decent pressure and maintained hot water for the duration of my shower. The tub seems to be of the old European tubs that felt narrow at the base where I could not stand up straight because the width of the base was not as wide as my feet together. A redeeming factor is the sweet selling toiletries on hand that seemed to have come from Provence. If I had a similar late night arrival and early morning connection to a train or flight, I would definitely stay here again offering a comfortable night stay to get me ready for the next day of traveling.
like many reviewers, the Parker Hotel stay was not planned. Was routed here after a flight cancellation. The hotel itself gets 4 stars which says a lot for a low cost airport lodge. the staff gets 5+ stars. you can imagine the scene with 2 busloads of less than elated passengers getting dropped off on a Friday afternoon. the 2 guys at the counter cleared through 200 guest in 30 minutes. Getting us all out the next morning with buses and hotel vans was enough challenge they handled really well. Impressive team there.
I stayed one night due to an early morning flight. The room was a pleasant surprise, much nicer than the price indicated. I had taken the train to Brussels airport and was picked up by the hotel shuttle service, which I used to leave the next morning. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely use this hotel again!
