"Good for short stay"
The hotel is about 50min from the airport. And just a 10min walk to the city center and shopping districts. The hotel rooms are a bit old, some need renovation especially the bathroom where the shower is so hard to deal with. But overall the room is spacious, clean and cozy. The staff is friendly, room service was delicious and the prices are good. Overall it was a good stay.
"There have to be better places to stay in Sao Paulo"
I stayed at the Golden Tulip Paulista Plaza recently for a business trip. The location is very good and the hotel is clean and modern. Upon going to my room, I found that I was given a room with two single beds with no way of putting them together to form a double bed. Who sleeps in single beds anymore' Most buildings in Sao Paulo don't have central air conditioning which is usually not a problem, unless the air conditioning doesn't work which was the case in my room. This issue made it extremely difficult to sleep in the room. The bathroom was generally clean, except for the shower head (picture attached). I don't know what was growing on it, but it was disgusting and should be changed immediately. Speaking of change, the next day I did ask for a new room with a larger bed which was accommodated. The air conditioning in the new room worked much better, but the shower head still had some funky stuff on it. One item to note for both rooms, was the windows are not double glazed. My rooms were on the 19th floor and I could hear babies crying on the street below, along with almost all of the traffic. I do not plan to stay at this hotel again.
Very nice Hotel. All emplyees are extremely nice and helpfull, specially the Concierge desk and the Receptions desk people... The pools are nice. there is a nice gym as well, the entire hotel is very clean and very comfortable. The restaurant food is delicious but expensive. The free breakfast is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. It is next to Avenida Paulista and near the subway. It also has taxis available 24 hours.
"Good for a short business trip."
This is a good hotel with descent food but the beds and pillows are uncomfortable and small. Also there were no outlets next to the night stand. The location is good if you are close to Paulista Avenue; finally the restaurant in front of the hotel is incredible.
"Average city hotel. Safe and with a great atmosphere "
Welcoming staff and front desk management. Friendly and well informed. They're fluent in English which is rare for São Paulo. They gave us a compensation due to a hotel shuttle issue from the airport. That was really professional. The rooms are spacious, but old, outdated and definitely need to be renovated. The beds are comfortable. Small bathroom. Too small! Locker and closet. Sitting area and a small balcony. The pool area was closed. The front desk staff has all the sightseeing info needed to explore the city. The lobby bar area was ok. Nothing special. Good breakfast. Ideal hotel to discover the city. Don't forget to take your international passport (a national id card is not accepted) if you like to exchange money in the shopping mall. Overall a nice hotel for a short business or city trip to São Paulo. Recommended!
