"Many basic things to solve"
The localization is very good also the rooms are much comfortable and the breakfast is pretty complete and tastable. However, we had a bad experience concerning the basic services like water and air conditioning, in several times we required the technical assistance to fix the problem of the shower and after insisting they appeared to help us. We were not asking for nothing more than the basic services taking in consideration the weather of the city.
"Perfect holiday in copacabana Golden tulip "
I spent a nice time here in this hotel, It was late and I have a meeting, my shirt was not ironed! I call golden tulip laundry, miss Ana, she quickly took shirt and provided me 15 minutes after my shirt ironed. It was great she was available because it was friday night 7:45!!! Thank you very much again. 👏
"Very un communicative."
Don't ask for room service as all u can get most of the time is a sandwich and if you are lucky enough to get a meal, request cutlery as if you ring them to bring it after u get the meal they wont bother. They don't under stand English and aren't very helpful in trying. Tell u to ring reception who tell u to ring room service. Also when booking tours rt=through the hotel check it is right. I even showed them the picture on their tour sheet and they booked the wrong one.
"Stay at Copacabana"
Hotel was over priced for the service and rooms. Staff could speak english but was not always helpful or friendly. Great location with direct access to beach. When checking in at 10am I was told the room was ready but check in was only at 14h. I was offered a early check in but they would charge an additional $R200!! Seaview rooms also cost an additional R$200... As this was not clear on their website, it feels like a rip off.
"Perfect to kick back in Copa"
I stayed for 2 nights here following the Olympic Games. The hotel was exactly what I wanted to kick back and relax. The location on Av Atlantica is perfect. It's near the end of Copacabana closest to Ipanema, giving you a bit of choice over beaches. There's no shortage of cafes, restaurants and bars around either. Go a block back and there's everything you need. The beach in front of the hotel was blocked by the "Olympic Triathlon Course" while I was there, however, this happens during the Games. THe beach across the road is perfect, and I'd say Copacabana at this end, is much better than in the middle. The beach seems nicer, and more accessible. The hotels itself was terrific. The pool on the top floor was amazing. It's only small, but perfect to cool off, read a book in, or just kick back with a beer. The few over Copacabana Beach is second to none, and is great at day or night. The room itself was a bit dated, but perfectly comfortable. It was spacious, and given I was only in the room to sleep was perfect for what I needed. Part of my wishes I'd gone for an "ocean view", but if you're not planning to be in the room, you can probably save a few dollars. Would certainly have no hesitation about staying here again.
