"Very good place"
Excellent hotel! Very good location, great attendees and breakfast is fantastic! The room is modern and renovated! The only recommendation is choice the highest room possible once the street is very noisy
"Not a place to spend even one night"
I travel almost 2 weeks of every month and stay in all types of hotels. This was my worst experience. The housekeeping staff just made the bed and changes the towels. Even empty shampoo bottles on the floor of the shower are not picked up. Water is not free - be very careful. They charge 7 reals for a small bottle. It is better to pick up water from the small shop across the street. You find all this out when you are checking out and in a hurry. 11th floor had extremely hot water that can burn you. My friend was on 12th floor who had to take cold showers. Laundry is another problem. The hotel info book in the room says if laundry is given before 10.00 am, it is returned the say day. The lady at the front desk says it is next day. Hotel has a nice lobby bar. I sat there for 45 minutes and did not see a bar tender or a waiter to serve drinks. Please don't waste your time waiting for a beer. It is better to buy your own and drink. Only one thing they have is breakfast.
"Good Location, a lot of Problems to solve"
The location is very good, good rooms and clean. The breakfast is pretty good as well but we had a bad experience concerning the basic services like water and air conditioning, in several times we required the technical assistance to fix the problem of the shower and after insisting they appeared to help us. We were not asking for nothing more than the basic services taking in consideration the weather of the city.
"Nice location, friendly staff, a bit too loud."
Stayed 5 nights in this hotel, which is under renovation, but I did not experience any inconvenience because of it. It’s located at the far end of Copacabana, one block from the beach (Leme). The new rooms look very good and modern. They are big enough to fit a few suitcases and have a modern vibe to it. It’s a pity though they didn’t renovate the windows. They’re single glass windows and it’s quite noisy on the street until midnight. I really appreciated the comfortable and strong mattress ! There is a desk as well as a large wardrobe. Unfortunately no safe, the mechanics were dissassembled and parts of it scattered in it. On the top floor is a bar and small pool with an excellent view. Breakfast is buffet style and diverse and never too crowded. Some staff speak Spanish and English (one young man in the bar very well) but less than other hotels. Overall they are very courteous and welcoming. Some notes though: it can get very noisy. The renovated parts could benefit from a carpet to dampen hall noise and the doors from a silent closing mechanism. Furthermore, room maintenance is very loud, slamming everything, shouting or making endless, loud personal calls while working. No afternoon nap here. Also: the Wi-Fi is good but the internet is excruciating slow. In the evening you can’t even access Twitter on your phone. The bathroom is modern but I had to stop my first shower after 2 minutes, it was so painful, like someone scratching me with needles. Culprit was the (new) showerhead clogged with limescale. After cleaning it myself, it felt better. Last but not least: the hotel provides tours through saveirosangrario.com, not to be confused with Saveiros Tours (the latter has three red boats in their logo). I could not find it on Tripadvisor for obvious reasons I think: I tried one to Petrópolis (not recommended, take a bus and do it on your own) and it was a total catastrophe. I've attached a picture of their tours. I think if they can get rid of these type of issues, it could be a great hotel.
"Very good hotel"
Great service, very accommodating since we needed to spend a good deal of time after checking out in the hotel. The room was great for the price and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. This was the right way to end our week in Rio.
