Excellent with very amenities. Service was very good and the food was phenomenal. Nice location, kept clean and there were some good activities to keep us busy. A couple of very good restaurants within the resort and the weather was very nice six of the seven days.
"Great people at Gran Caribe"
The staff at the Gran Caribe in Cancun really know how to make your stay a special one from being prompt, polite and always smiling. They a genuine and me and my family experienced the best time on a vacation ever. We have been to several places and this is now our main choice. Shout out to Oscar and the group!

Bravo to Beto at Maria's - excellent server, excellent food, always a welcome warm smile - thank you so much from your Canadian friends. This was our first trip to Mexico and we will definitely return here. Also, bravo to the staff at the Albatros buffet - special thank you to hostess Carolina - always a welcoming smile making everyone feel special - to Claudia (omelette station) again, always a welcome smile and willing to prepare whatever we desire (equipment SS hood was spotless - very impressive) - and last but not least Jaime - ola Jaime from Canada - thank you for making our vacation the best ever. My hand is over my heart to this resorts staff - AAA+ To Management - you have done an excellent job hiring - keep up the good work. From snowy Canada!
"Not Bad, Not Great"
Stayed with two adults and two kids. Had a Family Junior Suite. Room was a nice enough size and the bunk beds were perfect for kids. All of the family rooms are apparently on the first floor, with no view of the beach or ocean but very close to the kids activities. The kids area of the hotel could use a renovation - it's a bit run down. The corridor our room was located in was also very noisy and made it difficult to sleep well at night. Rooms were reasonably clean, but could use some updating. Food was just okay at best. Breakfast buffet was nice and offered the best food. Lunch and dinner offerings were at times not good at all. We ended up eating out at dinner time most nights. Fortunately, there are some good restaurants within walking distance and easy bus service to ones that aren't. Drinks were also somewhat weak. 24 hour snack bar was a nice idea, but often the food was not kept fresh. The self-service soft drink fountain was a good touch. Pool was decent. Nice size and heated. On the down side, it was DIRTY. The resort really struggled keeping it clean. It could also use some renovation. The beach area was nice, but the segment you could swim in was very small, due to rocks and submerged obstructions. Lifeguards were excellent at keeping everybody in the safe area, but if you go here to enjoy the water, be forewarned it can get crowded due to the small section you can swim in. The staff as a whole were very friendly and attentive and were in fact the best part of this resort. No issues whatsoever.

This was my first experience on an all inclusive hotel and it was worth it every penny, since I arrived I was received with cocktails, check in was fast and bell boy help me set up a surprise for my girlfriend who was getting on a later flight. Food and drinks were good, the restaurants are pretty good and the service was great. We spent most of our time on the beach bar and all the staff were great. Looking forward to go back.
