this was how third stay what an amazing hotel this time we were half board it was amazing food just felt a little rushed the last couple of nights .The breakfast staff were amazing the only little fault would be to say the guy in the suit stands there with arms folded and paces up and down looks more like he should be security than front of house needs to chill out a bit it was a little off putting apart from that great holiday will definitely be going back but only b+b basis.if you drink in the hotel and sign for your drinks be carful the staff on three occasions gave me wrong bill with incorrect room number even when given correct room number still got it wrong .good job I'm honest other people would be charged to there room .
"Great hotel....poor location"
My wife and I are frequent visitors to The Canaries but we have never visited Fuerteventura. I don't believe the island is anywhere near as nice as Tenerife or Gran Canaria, but that said there are miles of sandy beaches and dunes, but the rest of the island is just miles and miles of red rock, that is quite windy. Getting to the purpose of the review, the hotel. It is a good 20-30 minute walk to the centre of the resort and as others have mentioned it is surrounded by half built and run down buildings, did this spoil my holiday, NO but it does not add to the ambience of the hotel. The resort was ok, but if I'm being really honest a bit "tacky seaside" like. Lacking in decent restaurants and very few good bars with a nice ambience or views. The outside pool area has some of the nicest sun beds I have ever spent a day on. The pools are surrounded by the entire hotel, so it's not windy and there are plenty of palm trees for shade, in the cooler winters months though it can get cold in the shade. One of the pools is heated, a massive bonus and of course there is the beach front a 30 second walk away with more sun beds and windbreaks. There is also a small hotel bar for the beach front. We stayed in a mini-suite on the ground floor and a B&B basis. The room was spacious, the bed average, the bathroom perfect. Tea/coffee facilities, mini bar, safe etc all standard. The bathroom had two sinks, bath, huge walk-in shower' separate WC area. There were plenty of freebies, including tooth brushes, tooth paste, shoe shine, shower caps, comb...the list goes on and on. So in in all room was very good, though not the best of sea view and very limited sunshine on the balcony because it's east facing. The restaurant for breakfast was first class, the food and choice was all perfect. Even the orange juice was fresh. I can't really see how this could be improved on, so well done. The bar area around the pool was good and lunch on the pontoon out the front first class, well worth a visit. All the staff were most friendly. We hired a car and travelled most if the island, yes there are some lovely beaches, but few if any decent resorts. In summary there is little to fault with the hotel and if you like spending your entire holiday at your hotel then this could be the place for you, it's just we were not that impressed by either the resort or the island in general.
"a lovely hotel"
has a great beach front, nice restaurant, location could be a little closer to the town, a pity that the view to the property next door is still a building site which has been like this as I understand for the past two years.
"Super staff, service, pool and beach restaurant - ideal place to recharge"
In need of some winter sun and a huge amount of downtime/sleep this hotel came up trumps. Not worried about huge amounts to do - Fuerteventura isn't by any means a cultural destination - there is none the less plenty to do activity wise should you wish, especially for walkers, swimmers and wind surfers. On arrival the huge marble atrium belies the fact that whilst a large hotel there is plenty of cosy corners to relax in and call your own. I can honestly say that the sun loungers and sofas all around the hotel where the most comfortable ever. The lovely staff where always available to give advice and offer suggestions - the ladies at breakfast came up with several ideas for trips and always remembered our names. In fact, breakfast is the only time we realised there were lots of other people staying. The buffet and quality of food very good. Not only that but the staff took exceptional care in sending on a bag I had left behind on departure, for which I am very grateful. The pool can get busy but we never had a problem finding loungers and on windy days this option may be preferred though after 2 days by the pool recharging we ventured to the beach beds to never return. The new Coco beach club is an amazing addition. Located on two jetties, one with double beach beds and smooth chill out music, bar and attentive service whilst on the other the restaurant offered the best food of our stay - hence many long late lunches. The snorkelling - reached off the jetties - was better than expected and so worth bringing a mask for. Good sized comfy bedrooms overlooking the beach are a bonus especially for those who wake early you will be treated to some amazing sunrises. Fuerteventura has a more rustic, winder surfing charm to it than the other islands. A morning trip to Lobos nature reserve is worth doing. Some lovely bars to try in town a good 20 mins walk along the beach. Easy to order a taxi if required. it is a windy island and a couple of evenings jumpers required when the sun drops. I’ve already recommended it to other in need of a recharge.
"A lovely hotel"
We booked the package through Easyjet so when we arrived they had us in a double not the twin we had requested for Mother and Daughter. The hotel sorted it immediately and gave us a fabulous room with partial sea view and excellent facilities. The shower was the best we've had in a hotel - powerful and always a consistent temperature. The towels are changed twice daily and are high quality and good size. The toiletries were copious and lacked nothing. We saw the pool, beach and other facilities of the hotel while they prepared our room which was not ready as it had been changed. The welcome Cava certainly set the tone. We observed the building works and sun problems reported by other reviewers but they did not affect us. There were plenty of beds in the sunny part of the pool area. The outdoor pool is quite warm enough to swim in. The gym is well equipped but only opens at 8. The indoor pool and spa were not as expected. They only opened at 930 so no pre breakfast dip and the pool was actually too hot for swimming. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal with new dishes every day. We were on half board as we did not want to have to go to the town in the evening. On the basic package with Easyjet this actually means the buffet or a 20 euro allowance towards the other restaurants. This was not made clear in advance by Easy jet although I expected I would have to pay a supplement to eat a la carte. We upgraded to the "royal" package for an additional 300 euros which meant any restaurant and 3 courses from the menu. The food in all 3 restaurants is outstanding. The receptionist was very helpful in explaining the options. If you are on a tight budget the a la carte restaurants are not for you as they are very expensive. We had the buffet one night and it is as good as buffets can be, we just prefer a leisurely evening meal with service. There are lots of fish restaurants in town at better prices than the hotel but you must walk 20 minutes or take a taxi to access them. We tried the entertainment in the lobby most evenings but were disappointed to find it was mainly jazz singer and group of mediocre standard. Why don't you have Spanish music and flamenco dancing' Finally, this hotel would not be so successful without the outstanding service from every member of staff we encountered. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they were unfailingly courteous and cheerful.
