"Diamond in the rough"
For the price, near the beach, full breakfast it's the best deal in town. Regardless of the upgrades it might need, everyone was great, the room was a good size, the breakfast was great. With upgrades the cost would double. So for my budget it was perfect. It was also nice that It wasn't a luxury tourist hotel, Israelis stayed there which was interesting for me. I had planned for only 5 days but stayed2 weeks. I'm a single retired professional woman. I felt safe and comfortable
"All and all was very satisfied. Another gread thing is LOCATION"
We went as a family group of close to 40 people to spend the weekend. The rooms do need a going over but all in all was comfortable and inviting. We ordered a private dining room and got a waiter. The food was very good and plentiful. The staff was pleasant and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.
"Ok a hotel"
If I wasn't alone I would have paid more and booked a better hotel. Considering I wasn't in tge hotel much- it was good enough with some good points. Reception- friendly and helpful. Breakfast- good with a supervisor working as hard as I've ever seen anyone work. Housekeeping- bad! The same maid throughout my stay- dirty room, each day she forgot something( e.g. no spoons, no clean towels...)floor not cleaned etc. As she was always in the corridor, I had to ask her each day which is why I didn't complain. In any case, I feel it's a training issue the hotel should address. No room fridge! Unbelievable that! Israel is not a third world country. I'd expect a fridge in a two- star hotel.... Location great for beach, restaurants and convenient public transport access to all parts of town. I personally don't mind it not being super modern and it's not expensive. But it's not cheap either. The things which aren't right here can be put right but I would pay more and stay better next time.
It's an older hotel that definitely needs an upgrade if they are going to promote it as a four star hotel. I've stayed at three star hotels which are much nicer. I was only there overnight and was disappointed that I was unable to get a view from the roof top pool as we arrived at 8pm and departed at 9am. Room was ok. Variety of food but nothing really stood out, average. Small cockroach found crawling on the bread rolls...sorry if anyone is grossed out at this if they ate bread there. I was embarrassed for them (friendly wait staff) so I didn't say anything but I warned the others I was with. Good thing it was just us dining or I would have felt worse because I would most likely not have told strangers. Kitchen/waiters were friendly. Front desk staff, not so friendly. Grocery store just around the corner.
"Clean, OK location"
This is a pretty average 3* hotel, although there have clearly been some recent efforts to freshen it up. We were only here a few hours until our early flight, but the beds (two singles pushed together) were comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom was small but clean, and had everything we needed. Internet speed was decent, but we were unable to stream video. We left before the breakfast service started, so they provided us with breakfast boxes, which were plentiful and quite delicious, with both savoury (cucumber, bell pepper, tomato salad, boiled egg, cheese) and sweet (cottage cheese, yogurt, apple) options. Parking is an issue at this hotel, but we thankfully no longer had our rental here. Be prepared to have to find your own parking somewhere nearby. There are some good restaurant and grocery/convenience store options nearby. It's a pretty far walk to most attractions (45-60 min), except the beach.
