"Nice Modern Hotel"
Comfortable stay. Very close to the beach. Also close to Old Jaffa where we spent a lot of our time. The hotel has everything one would require, a/c, wifi, TV, lots of outlets, and a comfortable bed. I really liked the buffet breakfast. Staff spoke English.
"ok not great"
It's one of the newer hotels in Tel Aviv but my room showed wear and tear. Staff was going through the motions. Not welcoming at check-in. Same could be said for wait staff. Breakfast items were ok but not great. I wouldn't stay here again.
"Grand Beach hotel"
the last days of December 2016 i sped it at this hotel... Although is very well located, near to the beach , and very close to the Dizengoff street, the rooms are small and the furniture needs urgently refurbishment , first we got a room with a back yard view , the walls were very scratch and i went to reception to ask them to change my room . At the beginning they did not want to change it , but after i told them that i will make them a very bad review on Tripadvisor they change it with a 10 floor room with had a very good view and it was a bit larger.... the good thing is that the breakfast is very good, the personal from the breakfast, also very kind.... they urgently need to remake this hotel which i suppose that in the past it was great. but not anymore....
"Some Positives & Some Negatives"
There is no doubt that this hotel needs some refurbishment. My room was clean, but the carpet & furniture were a bit shabby. One important factor to keep in mind: all but two of the hotel rooms have the shower over the bathtub. The first room I was given had a very slippery, almost concave tub, which presented a serious safety problem for me, as I had recently undergone knee surgery & did not feel at all secure taking a shower. In fact, I was terrified of falling. I was then given one of the two rooms with a walk-in shower (on the top floor). However, the shower curtain did not keep the water from almost completely covering the floor, which I then had to mop up myself before I could use the bathroom again. Therefore, after the first shower, I decided to use the shower over the tub, which thankfully was flat & had a (somewhat) slip proof tread. This can be a serious problem for anyone with a knee problem & should be noted ! The buffet breakfast was generous & delicious. However, the two times that I had dinner in the hotel (also a buffet), the food was not so good. Also, no coffee or tea was available with dinner. The big positive was the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful, as far as they could be. Rooms were quiet and location was also good. Somewhat out of the center of Tel Aviv, it is nevertheless close to the Tayelet & beach, a lovely park, and the newly developed Port Area. It's also close to bus lines, a taxi rank and numerous cafes, grocery stores, a pharmacy, etc.
"Diamond in the rough"
For the price, near the beach, full breakfast it's the best deal in town. Regardless of the upgrades it might need, everyone was great, the room was a good size, the breakfast was great. With upgrades the cost would double. So for my budget it was perfect. It was also nice that It wasn't a luxury tourist hotel, Israelis stayed there which was interesting for me. I had planned for only 5 days but stayed2 weeks. I'm a single retired professional woman. I felt safe and comfortable
