"We arrived slightly ahead of schedule and the staff worked quickly to accomodate us"
Some nice enhancements to the decor--very nicely done. The rooms are well appointed but not overly luxurious. Nice selection of amenities and the usual assortment of lovely robes, etc. The hotel is in a busy section of the city, but the rooms are quiet and we love the convenience with the Phillips Center and the Citrus Club.
"A romantic getaway"
This hotel is absolutely beautiful it is so romantic the bar is so sexy the rooms with the crushed velvet everywhere the Kessler group does a fantastic job with there hotels we love staying in them from the food to the art just beautiful
"Staff is fantastic"
This hotel is part of the autograph collection for Marriott.....this means it is themed. The Grand Bohemian Orlando is an art lovers hotel. There are sculptures and paintings everywhere.....there is even an art gallery on site. This is a luxury hotel with a fabulous restaurant and piano bar. The lobby is smallish with zebra striped chairs and velvet couches. There is a spa, pool, and fitness center. The pool is on the 6th floor roof of one area of the hotel. The hotel is impeccable for staff service, housekeeping, and food. The staff is friendly, helpful, and top notch. We will definitely stay here again when blues and bbq isnt happening across the street.
"Nice outer shell, average interior"
Terrific location- close to many office buildings Phillips Center & Amway Center , nice well furnished looking lobby and restaurant. But this hotel falls short when you get to the room. Room very dated - Bathroom absolutely not of high quality that they put into the furnishings of restaurant, lobby and Bar. I'd recommend longer drive and staying at Ritz or JW if entertaining business clients or on a stay with your special someone. I'll be back for business (food was good, staff was nice), but not for special occasions. If the remodel I'll rush back.
"Very Sheik "
We came to town for the Florida Georgia Line Concert and chose the hotel since it is off Church St and for the walking distance to the Amway Center where the concert was behind held. This property is also part of the Marriott "Collection" properties and since we are Lifetime Platinum members we decided to utilize our points since the $520 a night didn't seem worth it even for a Category 8 hotel on pristine white beaches. Valet parking was seamless, check in was not seamless as our room was not ready at 3pm and were told ( even though we requested early check in and were told it wasn't an issue). We said no problem and asked for keys anyway to wait in the lounge on the concierge level since we would be staying on that floor. We were told " Oh, our concierge lounge isn't open on the weekends". Are you kidding me' We paid extra points just for the concierge level where breakfast ( continental ) , water , soft drinks are included. They in turn offered us 2 vouchers worth $10 each but breakfast ended at 10 am. We walked into the restaurant at 10:03 and were told they were no longer serving breakfast and it was brunch now and we needed a reservation even though only a handful of people were in there. When we questioned the hostess we were told that the brunch was $49.50 per person and our vouchers were only for the continental breakfast and she couldn't deduct them. We chose not to make a fuss , but note: NO BRUNCH IS WORTH $49.50!!!! Needless to say future travelers ****there is a full service very friendly staffed STARBUCKS in the hotel*** *! As for the rooms they were nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. If you are a traveler who uses the mini bar and snacks , they do it justice but knowing the bulk rate they pay they could come down on the prices. The Meomi Pinot they have triple priced it as we can get at Total Wine for $16 a bottle on sale. Dean n DeLuca is a nice touch but once again overpriced. The bathroom was very clean but the toiletries were very perfume smelling and shame on us for forgetting normal deodorant soap and basic unscented lotion. "Don't forget yours 😊" All in all , nice hotel but overpriced and slightly accommodating but not treated like a Lifetime Platinum member we are accustomed to. Use the Marriott Courtyard about 5 miles away and save your points.
