"Good and Bad"
Location wise was great, beside shopping mall Yaohan and walking distance to Senado square and Cafe Nata Margaret serving the popular portugese tart. Check in was terrible, didn't get out keys till 3.30pm. They put us up on the 18th floor and some part of the floor was renovating. Noise was bearable but still could be heard from our room. A very crowded lobby with plenty of mainland chinese and noisy too. Quite a sight and give us headache. No proper lobby sit down area for guest waiting for room keys unless u pay for drinks at the lounge. Bed was not in tip top condition and gave us backache. Pillow way too soft to have a good night rest. Bathroom was good we we prefer room without bath tub. We prefer standing shower which is easier to manage for older folks. No perks given for hotel guest dining in their restaurant. The restaurant on the 9th floor servicing cantonese/chinese cuisine is decent and acceptable. Concierge team was great, the guy in spectacle help us load our luggage to the airport shuttle coach without hesitation. While check in counter told us to load in on the coach ourselves. Overall acceptable if you don't mind paying for the relatively high rates.
very nice and good location hotel. The staff are friendly. It's very near to the famous Portuguese tart shop. They have a handy phone which can online and make international calls. I also got a buy 1 get 1 free of their buffet dinner ! The buffet is good! Will lobster and many kind of seafood.

I had recently traveled with a family of 4 for 2 nights at this hotel and my experience is horrible. I had booked this hotel due to great reviews by Trip advisor and trust me it was very horrible experience . here im writing Short review and detailed review for those who need over view info and detailed info Short review as below. ----------------------------- Note sure why people rated it 4+ Worst customer service and very rude. 3* hotel and NO LOBBY''' ever seen such hotel ' Toilets Locked'''' in reception area and chased by casino security if you go around that area SPA : strictly to male adults (rest leave it for your imagination) Breakfast : its below average and not sure if all hotels Shuttle Service: average and only shuttles to 3 places Handy fone : this is the only good service they have . Lift: most of the time malfunction and need to key in your room card multiple times. Rooms: Yes the rooms are good and spacious but Hotel doesnt mean only rooms and i really want to understand why people rated this hotel soo high' Detailed review as below . - --------------------------------- Day 1 - I had booked this hotel via Booking.com and i had double checked with Booking.com customer service if this hotel has NON SMOKING room with a bath tub and early check in around 10AM +. and got the confirmation and proceeded with the booking. As per my planned schedule i had reached the hotel around 10.30 AM proceeded to the reception. As reception was busy handling guests , i told my family to relax at the lobby area . Soon after my mother who is 65 yrs old took a seat at the lobby area, immediately a hotel staff came to her and asked her to vacate that place immediately as they need to clean that area. I was still waiting at the reception for check in formalities and my family came back to me saying that the hotel staff is not allowing to sit in the lobby. I asked my family to hold a while and approached reception for check in for which i had already request for early check in . Then front office guy informed me that there are no rooms available for early check in and need to wait till 2PM . I thought its fair that if hotel dont have room then of-course they cant permit early check in . Then i asked " where is the lobby area to relax and wait until check in '" and he showed me the same area where my mom tried to sit earlier . So we went back to that area and looking for place to sit and immediately there was a hotel staff came to us and said rudely that you cant sit in this area . I said her that Front desk assistant told us to wait here until check in. Then again Front desk assistant came back to us told that we cant sit in that area until 11AM . Wahhh i asked him then what should i do with my family and luggage until check in ' Then he replied go for sightseeing and window shopping until 2 Pm and then come back to hotel . Then i replied him that we need to get fresh and relax first as we had over night journey and cant go for sightseeing or shopping. He replied then you have no choice just stand and wait until 2PM ( i was very confused and thinking if im really at the hotel with this kind of worst service' and hotel with a rating of 4+ on trip advisor ') That was the time i couldnot take it any more and asked to call their manager. I think God heard us and sent a front office manager who can understand our situation and made us relax at the soo called lobby by offering 4 of us free drinks . We were so tired that i dont want to complain anymore to her as she was the only hope for us . We had waited until 1PM then the room was given to us . The room is really great & spacious and i also found a note from the front office manager apologizing for the inconvenience with a complimentary fruit platter . That really made me cool and i really appreciate the front office manager effort to make things right and her experience on how to handle guest in a professional way . After relaxing in the room , i had noticed that there was no bath tub. I had called front desk and asked why there was no bath tub in the room and got reply that NON SMOKING rooms dont have bath tub . Then i said why should i compromise with the facilities for which i had choose this room ' then the another male front desk manager took this complaint and told me that he will upgrade us to suite on the second day as the hotel was full on the first day . I felt happy with the manager offer and agreed to it . Day 2 - I called the front desk in the morning and checked with them that when they are going to upgrade my room ' as i need to go out for sight seeing and will be back only in the evening . Then the reply from front desk says " Sir i dont authority to change your room and the manager who offered you will start his shift duty from 2PM and you need to wait until that time . I said that is not possible for me to wait until 2PM and i had packed all my luggage and left and luggage service and informed front desk that we will back in the evening and keep the room ready by then. Then we arrived hotel in the evening and found the male manager who offered to upgrade our room . He said there are 2 rooms available for me and request me to follow and choose which one i like . Then i followed him and he took me to the SMOKING floor and showed me a room which had bath tub . But there is a bad smoking smell all over and i kept asking him if it is smoking room ' and he replied couple of times that it is not smoking room . Then he dint even bother to show me the other room to compare and select. Again i said there is some smoke smell in the room and he said he will send air purifier which will clear that smell . I replied if there is no smell then i wouldnot mind to stay in that room . And trust me i couldnot sleep that whole night with that smoke smell which is filled from aircon . as its getting night more and more smell filled inside the room. Im not sure if this kind of service is called upgrading room in macau then i would had kept quite and stayed in the NON SMOKING room which was allotted on the first day. NOTE: Im rating this 2only because of the lady manager who is really a savior and hats off to her wonderful service . The rest leave it to your risk. Stay away from this hotel if you are arriving early and with family
Best localization in Macau. The breakfast is fantastic. Nice room with a excellent decoration. It my recommendation if you need to stay in Macau The staff is great and very nice. Near of all the monuments
Great service. Nice design. We got a free room upgrade with coupons for the buffet. Very clean rooms with amazing views. Located within walking distance of tourist sites and many shops including the new yohan mall right next door. Great casino. Overall one of the best stays. Worth the money.
