"Great Hotel in the best location!"
We only spent one night at the Grand Hotel Beauveav, but the facilities and staff were superb. Located just steps from the old port made for easy access to bus, metro, and local sightseeing. Restaurants and nightclubs are plentiful in the area as well. A tip from the concierge to go by bus to our next destination (Aix-en-Provence) saved us both time and money. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious! Great property!
"Great Location and Price"
This hotel has probably the best location in Marseille. Literally hundreds of restaurants within walking distance. Close to excellent shopping and attractions. Great price. I would prepay for best rates. Surprisingly high end for the price.
"Lovely hotel in a great location"
We only had two nights in Marseille, but this hotel was a find. Very close to all the action around the old port; innumerable restaurant options, the metro and the bus terminus, and all the activities the port has to offer. The hotel itself is very classy. Our room was beautifully decorated and maintained, and very comfortable with a massive bathroom. We didn't sample the hotel breakfast - at €24 per person it was a bit rich for our blood. We found plenty of cheaper options available not too far from the hotel. But for the breakfast we would have rated it a 5.
I stayed at the hotel as part of a long weekend. The staff were friendly and very helpful and it is a great location! Lots of places around to eat and drink. However the place is a little outdated and hasn't been maintained! It would be an amazing place with some modernisation on the outside. The view from my room was amazing, look out onto the sea!
"Amazing - best location to stay in Marseille!!!"
Book this place right now!! Don't stay away from the Old Port if you don't have too, everything is within minutes walk from this place. €8 Uber from Gare Saint Charles Train Station €8-€10 Uber from Les Terracces Shopping Mall We stayed for 3 nights in the Balcony Suite and it was stunning. Room 512. This room could sleep 3 as the day bed on level 1 is large and very comfortable. 2 floors!! Level 1: entry, lounge, tv, sofa, desk, mini bar, toilet (no sink though), wardrobe, luggage stand, balcony overlooking the marina and the entire vieux port from the highest port and only hotel with central view of the marina. Level 2: huge bed, nice linen, excellent block out curtains, wardrobe, writing desk, massive tv, Bose Bluetooth stero, master bathroom with huge bath and shower over, and additional shower, toilet and sink area. Extras; bathrobes, slippers, sewing kit, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash, nail file and make up wipes. Can pay €40 for late check out at 6pm. Breakfast Buffet - AMAZING!!!! Bacon, Eggs, Sausages, Ratatouille, boiled eggs. Breads, pastries, cereals, cold meat, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurts, juice, tea, coffee, milk, juices, honey combs, nuts, figs, salamis, salmon, all condiments. Table service tea and espresso coffee and all tables set with fresh linen. A few things that just might need addressing but did not impact our stay; - get a luggage scale for guests departing to check the weight of luggage. - improve wifi connection, wifi only works in the reception it did not work in our room at all the entire stay which was frustrating. This may not be the case for all rooms, but worth mentioning might be worth getting more modems to improve service. WIFI is free everywhere if it works. - hot tap leaked in bathroom when either hot or cold was used. - selection on shower in bathroom suite was broken so we could not change the setting on the shower. Would go back in a heart beat and would recommend to everyone we know!!
