"Luxurious hotel with wonderful beach"
If I return to stay in an exquisite place in Taormina - that will be this hotel. Great service, great breakfast, amazing views, spacious room. The only 'disadvantage' of this place is the price but if you can afford it - that's a top notch.
"Holiday in October"
Many people have written good reviews and I cannot disagree withe them. The position is excellent and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Our holiday company said they had been recently renovated but ours hadn't but as fine We chose not to go half board because of the cost and were right and the restaurant was mostly empty at both dinner and lunch As a result the public areas were deserted most of the tome and the poor pianist played to himself. The entry from the road is at level 4 and the public areas and restaurant are at level 1 so there is little passing traffic in the evening and therefore the hotel lacked atmosphere which is a pity recognising its position and quality We were not expecting the mosquitoes !!!!! Something in the room to kill them would be a great help My enduring memory however is the charming and helpful reception ladies who were experts on all things including the "Op on Op off buses!!!!" I
"a wonderful place to be"
Sometimes you visit a place and wish that you'd booked into another hotel when you look around, but this is the one that you will wish you were in if you stay in any of the others. Located on the beach in Mazzaro Bay, this hotel offers beautiful rooms that mostly overlook the bay and are comfortable to stay in, with an air conditioning system that is quiet but very effective. Breakfasts are superb with a fantastic choice that should satisfy every need. Staff are friendly but this can't be said of the cosmopolitan guests who were very unsmiling and uncommunicative almost in some cases to the point of rudeness. This, however, can't be blamed in any way on the hotel or it's staff. There are shops and restaurants nearby and the vibrant town is a short cable car ride away where there are plenty of great places to eat and drink. We will definitely return!
This is a world class hotel! It is perfectly located on a private cove with its own beach. The service is excellent as well as are the amenities. The parking of our rental car was a bit costly, I guess worth it for the quality of the hotel. The only problem was with suite 143 which had a very nasty sewage odor that could not be corrected.
I can't rate this hotel highly enough. However you have to remember that 5 stars on the continent is equivalent to 4 stars in Ireland. Nothing was too much bother for the staff. Any enquiry/request we had was dealt with efficiently and pleasantly from booking restaurants to requesting a kettle for the room! The location is absolutely perfect - breakfast overlooking the bay. It's peaceful and relaxing and the guys around the pool couldn't be more helpful. Bedroom had a really large terrace with sun loungers. All in all a fabulous hotel!
