Room was excellent -- comfortable and clean. The lobby at this particular Grand Hyatt not as impressive as others. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Comment of A. Raul , United States the 2014-05-31
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead many times, and it's my absolute go to hotel when in Buckhead. The location is ideal and within walking distance from hundreds of wonderful restaurants and clubs. Further, the complimentary shuttle that takes you anywhere within a 2 mile radius expands the options nicely.
"Beautiful hotel in Buckhead"
The Grand Hyatt is truly a retreat and wonderful place to stay. The staff is welcoming and the grounds are beautiful. Make time to visit the work out center and outdoor garden on the 3rd floor. Food was delicious and everything was prepared with expert care. My room was well maintained, quiet and relaxing. I appreciated the robe waiting for me and the in-room refrigerator. The view was very nice and I would gladly stay again.
"Great stay and area!"
The buckhead area of Atlanta was amazing. Hotel lobby and waterfall was great. Rooms were decent but the banquet halls were amazing. Went for a wedding and had a great time. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
"Great location in the heart of Buckhead"
Overall, our experience at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead was a very good one. The property is in a great location surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and upscale retail. The metro is just two or three blocks away, and there is parking available, both valet ($36/night) and self-parking ($24/night), on site. The lobby area of the hotel is very nice with large windows overlooking a water garden and breakfast/lunch patio. Our check-in went very smoothly and the staff all around was friendly (lots of Southern hospitality to go around). The guest room itself was nice and appeared very clean. However, we did notice a very musty smell throughout the room and traces of cigarette smell in the bathroom which seemed to have permeated into the wallpaper. We thought the musty smell might dissipate with the A/C running, but it didn't. The next morning we both woke up very congested and decided to request a room change. The hotel desk staff was extremely accommodating to our request and moved us to another room (from the 4th floor to the 17th floor) right away. Their responsiveness and attention to customer service in this situation was impressive. Our new room was perfectly fine. We had breakfast one day in the hotel restaurant (cost included in our room stay), and it was excellent. The buffet was fully stocked with both hot and cold items. Service was excellent. We also used the fitness facility while at the hotel which was also very nice and quite spacious. The second morning of our stay we had a late breakfast in the Hyatt Club Lounge on the 24th floor. Breakfast was supposed to last until 10:30am, but they started clearing food away at 10:15, and the late arrivals (between 10:15 and 10:30) were limited in their food options (since most items had been cleared away). The hours should be restated to be until 10:15 if that's when the food gets removed. Otherwise, staff should hold off until 10:30. Even with the two situations described above, our stay, overall, at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead was a very good one. I would recommend this location to anyone coming to the Buckhead area of Atlanta.
"great hotel, friendly staff, well located"
Business trips always go better when you have a great sleep (comfy bed and quiet room!), roomy bathroom with hair dryer and close-up mirror (awesome for makeup or for men shaving) and the employees are friendly and helpful. excellent choice for restaurants nearby.
