"Nothing Has Changed - and that is good.."
I have stayed at this location on and off for over twenty years. It is a great spot between Paris and Portofino to catch the July fireworks competition. The Martinez during the time was a Concorde Hotel, at times associated with Marriott, and now managed by Hyatt. Throughout that time it has managed to pretty much remain the same. The art deco lobby and common areas harken elegantly to the glory days of Cannes. The shabby chic rooms (which I understand are being renovated') are large and comfortable,a nd the presence of a Michelin restaurant completes the experience. The hotel did have a piano bar which is now a DJ (sacré bleu!), yet the knowledgable concierge staff have been there for decades and can arrange just about anything - as is expected of this type hotel. Ironically, despite it now being Hyatt, the crowd has pretty much stayed the same. Oh how I look forward to returning….

Fantastic 4 day stay,hotel was beautiful and the staff were so friendly attentive and first class at ever duty they performed.Breakfast was superb with a huge choice of which the quality was excellent,eggs bacon bread croissants you name it,terrific service at all times,a must hotel to stay if your ever visiting Cannes
"Nice old hotel but needs update"
I was at the Martinez for business conference in Cannes. Hotel staff and services were 5 stars. My room was dated (I asked for a nicer room but not available). The room not set up for business travelers. For example, you have to crawl under the desk to plug in your laptop. Wifi connection very poor not able to support conf call. Maybe better for leisure travel.
"Luxurious & Amazing"
This hotel and the staff are absolutely top notch. As soon as we checked in "Cindy" on reception asked if it was our first time staying with this hotel which it was so she upgraded us to a sea view room. This in itself was extremely kind but she didn't stop at this point, on giving us a guided tour of the hotel she also added breakfast to our booking which we hadn't thought about until this point! To top it off we were then given a voucher for drinks at the bar.....you really feel like an important and well looked after guest at the Hotel Martinez. The concierge was also extremely polite and helpful booking a meal for us, recommending places to go and fixing a fault with the wifi on my phone for me! Breakfast is a wide variety of cooked and cold food, cereal, pastries + you can order pancakes, waffles and eggs. We ate dinner in the hotel one evening, the food is lovely, the portions are very big and they are very generous with the wine. We took the €65 euro deal for 3 courses, a glass of wine and a hot drink. In actual fact they gave us a whole bottle of wine, again very generous. "Andre" from the restaurant was very friendly as we're the rest of the staff - we had to mention him though as his English is so good we thought he was English!! The bedroom is superb, huge bed, massive bath, amazing shower and the toilet is in a separate room which is a very nice touch. You are given water everyday, you get a fruit platter on arrival to your room, if you phone to ask for more towels they are delivered in about 3 minutes!!!! Unbelievable. At night in the bar there is a live singer and pianist, it's a really lovely place to sit and relax. Other amenities include a heated swimming pool, spa and a gym but we didn't use these facilities. We left feeling like we had been treated like royalty during our stay - every need was tended to. Will we stay here again' 100% See you next year Hotel Martinez
"3.5 stars rating but not deserving of a Very Good rating yet"
I stayed in this hotel for almost one week for business - the room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is also clean and spacious. Lighting is relatively dim in the room, which did not help when I needed to do some work. I had breakfast served in my room and they were consistently very good and served on time on all mornings. For the staff, some were friendly, some were not. Hotel is looking tired and is in need of a refurbishment.
