Excellent service and great locationComment of C. David , Australia the 2015-09-14
Everything is a little bit old but the rooms a clean und OK. The breakfast is standard especially for Bangkok the standard in other hotels is much higher. But location and staff is good and friendly. Wlan works fine. Fitness and Pool is nice but not really for a holiday stay.
"Doesn't get better than GH Erawan Bangkok"
I spend 100+ nights per year in hotels. I cannot remember having experienced such a seamless and exceptional hotel from top to bottom. The simply "get it". Their warmth and hospitality is genuine. The Grand Club staff: exceptional. The management: world class. The only place I'd ever stay in Bangkok, (by a long margin). What every other property it its class aspires to be. —Justin Ross Lee
"Great service before checking-in and well after checking-out"
Stayed here for a few days by myself on business. Would stay here again with my family if I return. I would also considered Intercontinental which is on par with this property at a slightly lower rate. Location: Perfectly situated downtown - malls, markets, mix of locals and tourists. Chit Lom is the nearest BTS station which is a 3 min walk that can be accessed by walking round the outside or through Erawan mall which is connected with the hotel. Arrival: I was pleasantly greeted by staff. The proactive porter asserted himself to make sure the taxi driver wasn't trying to rip me off - although to be fair he wasn't; Thailand is a great place to go for a friendly haggle. Check-in: Reception was great in allocating me a room early - arrived at 10am. Room: Very spacious. All amenities available. Lots of complimentary water. Concierge: Very helpful and efficient in helping plan an excursion to visit major points of interest. Gym: On the 5th floor it has all the latest Technogym equipment. Space however is limited. If this is important for you I would definitely opt for Intercontinental opposite which has substantially more space, equipment (especially free weights), and 8 bodybuilders on site if you need someone to train/spot you. Pool: Good size pool. Intercontinental is smaller but is on the rooftop (26th floor I think) which has great views. Business Centre: Has 4 work stations, meeting room and 2 incredible massage chairs. Complimentary coffee is available - staff are also thoughtful and promptly offer to make one for me and assist with other issues I had. Food: Had lunch in The Dining Room located in the Lobby. Absolutely delicious Pad Thai. Make sure you leave space for Mango Sticky Rice. The chef is incredible. Check-out: Quick and easy. Offered to let me pay in my home currency on my credit card. I had a very late flight (2am) so could not extend my stay further without 50% room rate charge - this is fair. However, they were very accommodating by holding my luggage and offering full service of business centre, gym/pool/shower until I left for the airport. And again, the porter on duty showed initiative and agreed the fare. He also gave me a ticket as reference so if I did face any difficulty I could contact the hotel. The taxi driver didn't haggle this time.
"Perfect place to stay for businessmen"
Loved every moment of my stay, the moment i entered Erawan Grand Hyatt, i was given an impression that i belong to the place. Every time i was leaving the staff made sure that the taxi number and the phone no. of taxi driver was written carefully and handed over to me in case of emergency. So Thoughtful. Every body from hostess in the restaurants to spa, gym were trained to the best. Just one word for stay " Pleasing "
Clean rooms, great food at the breakfast buffet and all other restaurants/cafes in the hotel. Service staff are friendly and easily accessible. Spa and gym was fantastic. Location is great- directly connected to the BTS line.
