El hotel tiene un muy buen servicio y la atención de su gente es muy buena. Lo único que tengo que reclamar es que la PILETA/PISCINA NO TIENE CLIMATIZACIÓN y con una temperatura exterior de 30ºC no es muy confortable.Comment of M. Maximiliano , Argentina the 2014-11-10
"2nd Stay of the Year: Much better than the first time!"
This is my second stay during this year, after a bad experience from my first stay and discussing the issues with the hotel, my family and I gave it another try due to its fantastic location and proximity to my business and meetings. This time the standards of service of the hotel were up to par with what you would of expect from an international brand, and the level of attention to service was much improved from my last stay. Although there were a few hiccups here and there, they were minor and did not affect our stay. Access to the club was a plus, especially if you need off-hour business meetings in a secluded environment. There is still construction on site, and apparently the newly revamped rooms are not yet available. There was almost no noise from the works being made and workers were not visible. All in all a much better experience than my last, and I could see that the hotel's management had put effort in improving their standards. I would continue to stay at the Grand Hyatt Santiago for my future Santiago trips.
"Good location, fantastic view, great hotel."
Our room was located on the 15th floor and, through the very large window facing the bed, we had an absolutely fantastic view of the city and the surrounding mountains. The room was very large, the bed was very comfortable and the linen was immaculate, the bathroom had all the amenities expected and a very good shower, although its style spoke of a bygone era. The breakfast was excellent, with countless tasty options, while the reception staff was very helpful with directions, checking in on our next flight and visiting suggestions. Worth mentioning is also the fact that the pick up we arranged through the hotel was waiting for us on arrival, and that approx. 15 minutes on foot from the hotel there's a very large and modern mall with countless, good, little restaurants, cafes, ice-cream parlors and, of course, shopping opportunities.
"Great 5 Stars Hotel"
I was in Santiago for business but enjoyed the Hotel a lot. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Just found the breakfast very expensive (US$25 or US$60 dollars per dayperson). Few street store options, but close to Parque Arauco. I recommend it anyway. It´s in the best neighborhood of the city. Thanks.
"Great Service and Location"
We loved the location of this hotel. Easy to walk to the subway, catch a bus or enjoy the nearby shopping and restaurants. The staff was great, spoke excellent English and was helpful to coordinate tours. The room was always clean, the access to the club was a nice upgrade where we enjoy the free food and drinks. Best of all , the views from this hotel were amazing! We could watch the sunrise over the mountains and the views of the city were equally impressive. The city is wonderful and we look forward to returning to this hotel in the future.
"A Disappointing Stay"
After having spent a few nights in Valparaiso where there were only good boutique hotels, we were looking forward to coming to the Grand Hyatt in Santiago to enjoy the 5-star comfort. Firstly, I was choosing between several hotels in Las Condes and finally decided to to with the Grand Hyatt against the Marriott and the Renaissance because of the name Grand Hyatt and I do not mind paying slightly more. The location itself is great and the staffs were very friendly and helpful. Sadly, the hotel itself and the room (oh the room) are big disappointments. As a Hyatt gold member, we were allocated a room adjacent to the renovating rooms where there were workers walking around during the day and the hotel was definitely not fully booked. I personally did not mind this; however, my mother and my sister felt a bit uncomfortable about it. The furnitures inside the room look like they are from the early 80s. The lightbulb of the main lamp inside the room was very weak and blinking which caused the room to be very dark and gloomy. We informed the staffs about it and they sent an electrician to fix it. He changed the bulb for us and the lighting quality improved slightly but it was still blinking. We wanted to order room service for dinner as we had an early flight the following morning and found that the phones did not work. The staffs told us later that it was the hotel's phone system that was down. Avoid the Grand Hyatt Santiago for now until its renovation is completed.
