El hotel tiene un muy buen servicio y la atención de su gente es muy buena. Lo único que tengo que reclamar es que la PILETA/PISCINA NO TIENE CLIMATIZACIÓN y con una temperatura exterior de 30ºC no es muy confortable.Comment of M. Maximiliano , Argentina the 2014-11-10
"Nice Pool and Outdoor Dining"
Room was extra large, a mini-suite. Only complaint was a one step drop between sections, very disconcerting in the dark. Hotel staff friemdly and someone always speaks English. Pool is very nice and there is cabana seating outside for drinks and dining. They have multiple restaurants, but food is just average. Clean and safe, a few blocks from a large shopping mall. Downtown is nearby but it is best to take a taxi with a rate negotiated at the hotel.
This hotel is in a great position with a lot of restaurants, shopping centers and the cbd all within walking distance. The food in all the hotels restaurants was a good standard for Santiago with some great wine choices . The pool area is excellent with a lovely waterfall. Staff went out of their way to make sure that our stay was great and I must mention Madelyne (club) who almost had a motherly concern for our well-being .Other notable staff were Jessica , Daniela (both in the club) and Stephanie who checked us in. We will definitely be back.
"Nice Views, Awful Service, Not convenient to public transportation, construction"
Stayed for a week over the holidays. Overall OK, but not to Grand Hyatt standards. I had better service at Hyatt Place. Construction on the hotel continues, and given how long it has been going on it will be another 3 or 4 years before it is done. Road work on burying the Kennedy freeway makes the outside a mess with odd traffic patterns in front of the hotel. Room service was hit or miss and arrived before 10am on 3 of the day, sometimes it was done, sometimes it was sort of done, and sometimes we had to ask each other if they actually came through. Forget about the purported turn down as you are lucky if they close the black out shade let alone change the towels. Food and drinks are overpriced as you would expect and OK, but there were very odd things though, no wash clothes, no coffee in the room, as mentioned by others the freezing pool. Good views of the mountains, and a solid fitness facility. It is also a good 20 minute walk to the nearest subway. Many Hotels in the area, but the Intercontinental is in a MUCH better location (and can't be worse than this).
"Was Excellent - Need to improve"
This is the 5th time I stay in this hotel. It was excellent, but now the services are not good. The room service MUST be improved. To slow, not friendly. It is faster to buy your own food in Mc Donalds than ordering the food in the hotel. The parking service is confuse. Some days you have vallet service. Some days you have to park your car. You´d better ask how to park.
"Views of the Andes in 5 star luxury "
Very centrally located with views of the snow capped Andes from the Club lounge rooms 16-19 floors are a treat . Use of Club lounge with its 3 hour evening cocktail hours including unlimited Pisco sours , round the clock snacks n coffee and dedicated concierge and check in are a plus . 3 speciality restaurants, great poolside service and lobby in the spirit of Hyatt 5 star luxury .
