"Upscale business hotel which is now affordable to stay in"
In a city which is pretty full-on, the Grand Hyatt is a relaxing and luxurious place to stay if just a little soulless. Thanks to the collapse of the Real and the local economy being up the creek, it’s also affordable to mere mortals not traveling on huge expense accounts these days. The rooms are spacious and excellently equipped and everything like Wi-Fi works as expected. There is a nice restaurant on site with good service and food. My only complaint would be that the concierge service were pretty useless in recommending tours, only offering a range of over-priced “private” tours in vans when there are plenty of other options available. The hotel is located some way out of the city centre in the Brooklin District. However this is no great problem since there is a railway station with frequent trains to the city centre a few blocks away and a huge shopping mall even closer.
"Very Good Business Hotel"
Stayed here for 2 nights last week. Good stuff - great location for my meetings - staff attentive - club lounge facilities - cocktail happy (2) hours in lounge - bed room spacious - nice view from room - maid service good - good wireless network Not so good - bar area on ground floor a bit sparse - shower in room weak - not enough plugs in room to charge stuff - checkin / checkout process not prompt
"A very special hotel"
It looks very grand and it is but more than that it has a very unusual quality. It's staff and attention to small details are excellent. Beautiful breakfast with lots to choose from and stunning views of Sao Paulo made my stay one to remember
"Still the best business hotel in Sao Paulo - I'm positive about it (after more than 100 stays)"
I can consider myself an expert on the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo - after all, I'm a weekly guest there for four years now (I live in Rio de Janeiro and work in Sao Paulo). I find Hyatt today my second home, as this hotel has a level of service and comfort compatible with the best hotels in the world - and they care. What this hotel has so special' The comfort - very good; food - often excellent, with several options of restaurants inside that stand out in Sao Paulo; cost - in my perception, the best cost/benefit relation comparing to any top hotels 5 star in town; and especially services - where customers of the club level are rewarded with attention, sympathy and competence that very rarely is seeing in other top hotels in the world. I would say that, without doubt, the quality of services stands out today, where everyone ( almost no exception ) who works there genuinely care about the well-being of all its guests. I have done few reviews of this hotel before, so I can comment that a very important change was the arrival of the new general manager of the hotel, Yann Gillet, who came from Park Hyatt Paris. Yann has been outstanding in my opinion, he managed to create an even better mood among employees, and shows a huge ability to socialize with guests, making for these a special experience of being at Grand Hyatt as much more than just sleep in a hotel to do business . Besides this, Yann has helping Grand Hyatt to become more and more relevant as a top option in the city for large corporate events and even personal experiences - more and more I see brides and celebrations that choose Hyatt as a their special place. Congratulations to Yann and to all group of exceptional employees, as Alexandre Espindola (Director of Guest Experience), Patricia Abe (Leader of the Grand Club) and Adelson, the Super-Butler, an excepcional professional who is always ready to find a way to positively surprise a guest. All of them are exceptional in their work, and represent a large group of special people who today make Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo the best Business hotel in city. In my opinion, the only reason not to be at the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo is if the location of your meetings would be far, if you will be there to work - not my case, Hyatt is minutes away from my office. Sao Paulo is a very large city, and it is advisable to check the distances, especially during rush hour. Other than that, go there and enjoy - and ask corner suite overlooking the bridge, one of the major highlights of Sao Paulo.
This is a really nice well run hotel. Extensive selection for breakfast and great coffee. The room was large and quiet, and bed was comfortable. Worth upgrading to get club access - there is an evening "cocktail" session between 6 and 8 in the club lounge. Nice selection of food including 1 hot meal from one of the onsite restaurants. Good selection of drinks too, beer, spirits and wines, including a fine Malbec. Toiletries in the bathroom were gorgeous - so I had one less thing to worry about after my luggage was left in Heathrow. Great hair conditioner.b Room service was good, food nice, pleasantly served and good value for money.
