"Grand Hyatt @ Scott's Road "
I recently stayed here on a business trip. This can be a busy hotel. The checking in was quick and effortless and soon I was off to my room located at the rear building of Hyatt. Apparently they have an older wing nearer the front of the building. The room was well appointed and the attached bathroom was large. The room outlook appears modernistic with carpet area around the king size bed and marble flooring over the working desk at a far corner of the room. I like this very much as it offers done work privacy away from the television screen. The room also offers a relaxing reclining sofa with a footrest in luxurious leather. The Straits Kitchen offers a fantastic breakfast spread both Western and Asian. The Asian portion included many local Singaporean delights like fried carrot cakes , nasi lemak , roti prata with various curries etc. they had an egg station that does eggs any style as per your request. Freshly brewed coffee and fresh fruit juices are available as well. The breakfast time slot can get crowded very quickly. The service staff are very attentive and quick to offer assistance. A very recommended venue for your daily breakfast. As this hotel can get very busy , the taxi line can get rather long during the evening peak hours. The driveway gets crowded with passing pedestrian heading to nearby Orchard Road where all the shopping malls are located.
"Great service Great Location but Improvements still needed"
Economy / Room 621 Breakfast is rather too Asian and calorific for my liking ...no pork products and no chance of a full English breakfast as well, but the staff were lovely and attentive especially the manager who tried really hard to cater for my food allergies. Room overlooks a courtyard and rooms on lower floors with balconies so there's little privacy if the curtains are open.
"grand hyatt family stay october 2017"
WE stayed at grand hyatt 3 nights in October 2016. The hotel was chosen for location close to shopping malls and serving the much needed halal food for us. Deen at the doors was very friendly and often shook hands with the kids making them feel welcome. Straitskitchen had fresh juices for breakfast. Sugar cane juice was extra $10 but worth paying for. The breakfast mainly offered far east cuisines. The halal option was limited at breakfast time. In room service was ordered each day and the food was exceptional. Service was great and the staff. The rooms could do with some modernisation, saying that the lobbey and entrance to the hotel is superb. Hotel private taxi is 5 times the price and i would suggest just using the taxi available from outside the hotel. private tour using hotel taxi was $55/hr.
I was here for a conference and stay. The hotel is located on Scott's Road that has everything you want within walking distance. The rooms are large with all in them. The conference facilities are huge and can handle 1000 person conference with no signs of looking crowded.
The Grand Hyatt has been renovated well and is in an outstanding central location with shops all around it. The hotel has two towers. The internal tower overlooking the swimming pool is very quiet. The food at this hotel is superb. The banquet has some of the tastiest Asian and Indian food you will find anywhere. The hotel is located next to the MRT (Mass Rapid Transport underground train) so very easy to catch the train to Clarke Key or to the Botanical Gardens or to Marina Bay Sands. There is also a very nice food court in the shopping centre next to the hotel, so very handy for saving money instead of eating in the hotel. I would highly recommend.
