Nestled in the exclusive Midtown area, Grand Hyatt New York is within easy access of many of the city's hotspots, including shopping centres, theatres and spas, all just minutes away from the hotel by foot or subway.
Love this hotel.Comment of B. Patricia , United States the 2016-01-15
The Grand Hyatt is a great hotel in the perfect location for Manhattan business and fun. Prestigia's price beat all the competition so this was a no-brainer.Comment of W. James , United States the 2016-01-07

Comment of R. Loved it! Was greeted by a woman who upgraded us because we applied for hyatt gold club and checked in on yelp. She gave us tons of tips also! The Hyatt Gold Club breakfast is amazing and worth the extra money eapecially if you have your whole family with you.Comment of W. Taylor , United States the 2015-07-13
It was a very quick turn around for me, perhaps 12 hours or so and most of the time was spent either in Time Square or sleeping. But my experience was great in the hotel, almost made me wish I had a little more time in town. I had a good sit down in the bar for about an hour before I headed upstairs to sleep. The only thing I would recommend is remind the bar staff to provide receipt copies for us business travelers ;)Comment of S. Karl , United States the 2015-05-13
Zimmer im Grand Club lohnen sich. Aufmerksamer Service dort. Lage im Grand Central ist TOP! Hotel würden wir jederzeit wieder wählenComment of A. Guido , Germany the 2015-03-02
Initially we were given a noisy room but we were moved and the room was lovely - bathroom a little on the small side but overall great experience!Comment of S. Umberto , Australia the 2015-02-28

Very nice and clean only downside is the parking very expensive..Comment of N. PIERRE , United States the 2014-07-29
I didn't eat in the hotel, so I can't comment on the food, but the Deli in the Lobby that sells everything from coffee, candy, bananas, other food items and even wine is very handy. Ik have stayed here before and having the hotel on top of Grand Central Station is great. The people who run the hotel are extremely friendly and very nice.Comment of A. The shower/tub had a lot of hair in it when we arrived, which was disgusting. Housekeeping never showed to clean the room, so we insisted on changing rooms. Never had this experience at this hotel before.
I say unexpectedly because of all the negative reviews below, but it surprised us. We had stayed at the Time hotel in times sq (3 nights)and the Gild hall in wall Street (3 nights) before we arrived at the Hyatt and this was probably better than those overall. Only because It was larger and smarter and in a great location. The rooms aren't that big but they aren't anywhere. Where it does let itself down is in the service which is relatively impersonal when I compare it to the other places we stayed on our trip. The gym is great. The bar is good with a view of the busy street. A very busy lobby but that didn't put us off.
"Nice clean room. Friendly staff. "
We were here for a dance convention, filled with dancers and their parents. They kept the hotel nice and clean. The room was clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Nice large flat screen tv. No microwave, no in room coffee, and only one small drawer. The bathroom was awkward. The toilet was so close to the tub your knees practically touched if you had to use it. It was a rain shower type showerhead which offered no pressure.
"Great Location while Visiting New York"
This hotel is next to Grand Central Station, which makes it very convenient as you don't have to go outside to take a train. The hotel rooms are good, although the furniture are a bit wear out. Service at the bar tables is slow, recommend seating at the bar.
"Bizarre "Business" Hotel"
The location of this hotel, right next to Grand Central Station, is outstanding. The accommodations leave much to be desired. I was in an "executive" room but there was no desk or work space in the room. The "free" Internet was very slow. There was no coffee pot in the room, but I could get one small "free" house coffee in the coffee shop in the lobby (not very convenient, and very limited if one wanted a larger coffee or something other than the house brew sitting in a pot to take to one's room. The layout of the room was bizarre. The closet was in a small hallway at the entry door. You had to walk all the way around the room into another hallway to get to the bathroom. The shade to the one window in the room could be moved up and down only by moving the television set that sat in front of the window. The lobby was noisy and crowded. The first night I was there much of the lobby was blocked off for a private cocktail party. Given the fact that the hotel as meeting rooms this seemed bizarre. It certainly made the lobby and adjacent restaurant very noisy. The restaurant was small, very expensive and has a very limited menu. I ordered a glass of chardonnay and was brought a chablis (twice!) I would not recommend this hotel. There are much better places to stat in NYC.
