"Unwelcoming service hotel"
Hotel has all facilities service is bad Dont expect friendliness or warm welcome ..the staffs are always with a dont care attitude Didnt expect much when we went Even without expectations it turn out bad.
"Good location, good price"
The hotel has been renovated. It looks quite good And the room is big too. In terms of location , this hotel is very convenient to access to shopping mall, restaurant....regards to rooming rate, the cost is cheap if consider their location and renovation. We booked to spend my partners 50th birthday at the Grand Millennium...we've been coming to Malaysia for years and found the GM to be perfect for us. Oh dear...we were supposed to come with another couple who couldn't make it due to ill health. Thank goodness I think it might have been a bit of a disaster. The staff, who are superb to a man/woman remembered us and treated us brilliantly....but oh dear, what have the Management let this grand old lady become' It is scruffy, not maintained to any semblance of what I'd call adequate. Thank God we were in a Club room...the Mill restaurant has been cost cut to embarrassing levels, awful cold food, half the choice. Terrible drinks...was charged for a Cappuccino (later deleted), it was a terrible scruffy canteen! As a general observation it would appear all of Malaysia suffers this complete lack of care and maintenance. Some cutting edge buildings and infrastructure with a third world mentality as to how to maintain and progress them. It is such a tragedy. Everywhere we went locals confirmed as to the apathy and uselessness of the powers that be...we are really upset over the whole thing as we love the country so much....come on GM and Malaysia get a grip....become the country you should be, don't slip into apathy...
"Mad house, too much noise, too much traffic Jam, unfriendly staff, bad food"
The Good Wi-Fi is fast. The bad We had to wait 15 minutes to checked in and wait 20 minutes to checked out. We had two rooms in this hotel and both rooms had many issues. The shower door in our room did not close properly and after taking shower the floor of the bathroom was always wet. After using the toilet if you flashed the flasher would get jammed and it continuously leaked. You needed to keep pushing the flasher in hope it gets out of the Jam. We had the same issue in both rooms. The next room had the Television playing very loud in some Asian language after hours (after midnight) and we could hear the noise. We had to complain about this issue every night to the reception and it use to take 30 minutes before they send someone to ask as the next door to keep the sound down. The watermelon supplied at breakfast was off. It smelt funny. Two of us got food poisoning. Staff were not friendly. The traffic is always jammed around this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Good location but probably won't stay again"
The location is very convenient for brand name and up market shopping and restaurants but the flip side to that benefit is that it is also right in the middle of terrible traffic congestion area so getting in and out by car can take a while. Also allow at least an hour to get here by car from the airport. Despite the good location I found too many other issues with the hotel that might seem trivial but when you are staying in hotels all the time the difference between what is standard and normal in most hotels really stands out when you find yourself in a hotel that doesn't meet those standards. The issues I had here, that are enough of a drop in standard to have me stay somewhere else on my next trip, were that the Wifi keeps cutting out and needs reconnecting which is a minor issue but becomes a bit of pain when you have to keep doing it over and over. Having to pay extra for proper coffee with breakfast is ridiculous. I can't recall the last time I stayed in a hotel where I had to pay extra for a real coffee at breakfast. Finally, the shower was a nightmare to get the temperature right. It was impossible to maintain a constant temperature with the water alternating from very hot to very cold every 30 seconds without touching the controls. In summary, this hotel doesn't in my opinion, meet the minimum standards you get in pretty much every other top hotel and with so many hotels to choose from in this area I will be trying another hotel on my next visit.
