"Great Hotel Great Location in Xian"
This was my first visit to Xian & it turned out to be very memorable. I choose this hotel after checking reviews on Trip Advisor. I came with my friend & rooms were good. We were given back side room with bathroom door not working properly. Though they tried to repair it but it didn't help. seems the door requires major repair. The staff was very helpful & location was excellent. Bell & Drum Towers, City Wall entrance, Muslim Quarter & Mosque were on walking distance. Breakfast was good. Do try yoghurts they were really different & had less sugar. The package for Terracotta Army from the hotel was average. You can check other package tours on trip Advisor.
"Great location and breakfast buffet"
We enjoyed 5 nights here on a relaxed visit to Xi'an. The hotel location is 10 minutes walk directly along the road from the Bell Tower in the centre of the Xi'an, well within the city walls. It was easy to walk from the hotel to the Bell Tower subway stop, and just a little further to the Muslim Markets. From Xi'an airport, we took the Long Hai Hotel line airport bus to a stop beside the hotel, not far from the railway station (25 yuan, about every 30 minutes). However, it proved difficult to get a taxi from the bus stop to the hotel; the trip was too short to move the meter beyond the minimum charge (about 10 yuan), and with two of us and two suitcases the taxi drives didn't want the short trip. I think that if we had offered 20 yuan or so that the problem would have been resolved; but we didn't have the small change at that stage. Some kind students let us take the taxi they had called. As someone else had noted, the reception took a 500 yuan deposit on check in, which they refunded fully when we checked out (keep the receipt somewhere safe!) The breakfast buffet at the hotel was really good, with a huge range of options (both Western and Chinese) and some of the dishes changing from day to day. My wife enjoyed the small souvenir shop in the lobby, and felt that the prices there were surprisingly reasonable. I noted (after going out to find some from a store) that they sold beer by the can. We had courteous service from all of the staff.
"Intertrips Chinatour hotel"
We booked a group tour and this was the hotel we stayed in our second 2 nights. The hotel was very nice. It was within the city walls (forbidden city) and was central to everything -- all kinds of stores and restaurants in walking distance. The 3 places we stayed had about the same amenities. Each had a free full American and Chinese breakfast buffet that was a great way to start our day. They all had restaurants and gift shops. I was too wiped at the end of the long touring days to even look for a gym or pool. Chinese tap water is not potable and each of our hotels provided two water bottles per day. We used bottled water for brushing teeth. Room amenities included two pairs of slippers, hair and body care products, two dental kits (toothbrush and paste), combs, etc. They had hairdryers and bathroom scales. I would recommend walking or bicycling the city wall. There is a view from the top. I believe it is 14 km around. Part of it was closed to construction. It is pretty much flat with ramps in some spots. The surface is 1300 year old brick, so don't expect smooth.
"Great location, very good hotel"
Nice building very good located. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. In general you can feel a peaceful environment. My bathroom was very spacious and modern, the bed a little bit hard as in general in China but very comfy pillows. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. I had a SPA massage service, the SPA area was nicely decorated, clean and with several treatment options. My female therapist was very good and helpful. The breakfast has plenty of Asian options comparing with the few western alternatives nothing to worry about.
"Good location and quality hotel"
We were pleased with our 2 night stay here. The bed was firm but comfortable. The rooms were clean and quiet. The bar was good and food ok in Yum Yum restaurant. We had to get staff to bring a bed in for our daughter as this had not been sorted and one of our showers flowed cold water not long after being turned on otherwise we were very satisfied with our stay. Although some staff spoke a little English this could definitely be improved on and make communication much better.
