"Different name, same quality"
Just a change in the name, but same quality and service. 1. Top location, right in front of the Tokyo Bay and Rainbow bridge, accessible directly from the subway and with a good mall (Aqua City) at 5 minutes walking, with almost 50 places for dinner, Japanese and international. 2. Rooms much bigger than Japanese standard. 3. First class buffet breakfast, western. 4. Perfect bar at the ground floor for a beer or whisky before going to sleep. 5. With just a 10 minutes walking, you can enjoy the biggest Gundam I've ever seen in my old life. 6. 10 minutes by subway to the Big Sight. 7. If you have time to spend and the weather is fine, you can wlak all the day long on the pedestrian area along the bay.
"Loved the view from our room"
We were in Tokyo for business at the convention center Big Sight. The Grand Nikko is only a couple tram stops away. Also the shuttle bus from Narita airport that stops at the Grand Nikko. The staff are very friendly and always want to be helpful. When we booked our room we did take the room on a higher floor with a view of the Rainbow bridge. It was well worth the extra money. We had beautiful sunny fall days and clear nights, so the view was spectacular. The room was a good size room. Sometimes you can get small rooms in Tokyo, but this was not the case. The bathroom had everything you needed plus more. The tram is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The tram can take you into the Tokyo city. The restaurant at the Grand Nikko are expensive, so we did not eat there. There is a shopping mall, Aqua City, that has a lot of restaurants for a reasonable price. Eating at shopping mall restaurants in Japan are very common, local cuisine and delicious. We actually went back to a Sushi restaurant 3 times. We really like the location of the hotel. Right on the water with beautiful walkways and views. The next we are here on business we will definitely stay at the Grand Nikko.
"Perfect for both business and pleasure"
Great location if approaching from Haneda airport. Limousine bus brings you straight to the hotel in ca. 30 mins. Great bars and restaurants. Highly courteous and professional staff willing to rectify any small problem or assist with any request. Right next to an underground station so access to downtown Tokyo is a given. Popular with families going to Disney too. Stayed there many times for business and would recommend the place most highly
"Luxurious family hotel"
Luxurious family room with 4 beds in a room. Great for family of 2 adults and 2 children. Nice tub for children to play water. Good shower area with wonderful water pressure. Children loved the chandelier in the room. Disappointed with the lack of cartoon channels for TV shows. Staff is very friendly but make sure ask several staff just to be sure of answers on bus tickets. Found different answers which was confusing. Very near train station and has bus service to airport but take note that advance reservation is very important as the bus can be packed. Very good hotel as its luxuriously comfortable. Could be excellent if the price is more reasonable and provide more guidance to travellers on the amenities.
"great place to experience the modern tokyo and amusement parks and shopping"
Daiba is a new area for Tokyo so although a bit away from the center, it is easily accessible and a great spot to discover the science museum and the river side. The hotel is beautiful, bed very comfortable. A western type of room with comfort and much bigger than downtown hotels. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in terms of western choice but big buffet and great view at the top of the hotel. The shuttle/limo service to the airport is reasonable and support convenient too. A great spot for 1 or 2 nights and get a different look at Tokyo.
