Very pleasant tea good service I think everyone there was on a voucher but good value now suffering an over indulgence of chocolate A good selection of teas You get a wide range of cakes and an assortment of sandwiches but I would have preferred more sandwiches and less cake But a lovely afternoon
"Spectacular hotel with a different interior"
One thing's for sure, all hotels do not have the same interior - this one was special. The interior is a mix of Old fashion, art deco and chic designs. The breakfast was okay as well as the service from the staff, can't complain. But the rooms are to small, you will get claustrophobia in some of the rooms. And if you are a tall person, don't choose this hotel - or make sure you get the right rooms, some rooms is to small and you will not have space in the toilet for eg. Little disappointed with the size of the bed, when you book a King Size bed - you will then expect to have a King Size bed, not a regular bed!!
"Amazing character hotel central location"
Very central and close to Queensway Tube station only a two minute walk. Hyde Park very close as well. The hotel is full of character with very friendly staff. Really helped leaving our luggage on our last day. We were upgraded to a club room on arrival. The room was on the ground floor very quiet with a lovely shower/bathroom and spacious. There was ample tea and coffee supplies with biscuits and water and the room came with a fridge. I would certainly use this hotel again.
"Great Location, Character Hotel"
The hotel more than met our requirements for our 1 night stay. We had booked a deluxe triple & deluxe double room for our family of 5. As it states in the blurb the rooms are described as compact and our double was just that but we did not find this an issue and found the room to be comfortable, modern and clean. The bathroom looked new with modern fittings & a lovely shower with an adjustable wall mounted head & rainfall overhead fitting. We also had ample tea & coffee supplies, bottled water, biscuits and a selection of fresh fruit. The reception and public rooms have been tastefully restored and give the hotel real character. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Finally the location is a real bonus as there are 2 tube stops within 2 minutes walk, Hyde Park is just across the road and there are numerous bus stops. However if you don't mind a walk then the West End is about 25 minutes way on foot. All in all a little gem of a hotel.
"5 nights stay"
The location is great, Queensway Station is just around the corner and there are lots of restaurants and coffee places on Queensway st The breakfast was very good, and the girls at the bfast are nice and friendly. The room itself was small, but we didnt have a problem as most of the day we were out. just not a lot of place to put the shopping...:) The only thing that we didnt like is that in the whole stay(5 nights) the sheets were never changed and cleaning was in our room every day...and that you can't open the window so there is no fresh air In total very nice staff and the most important is the location..
