"Nice Hotel in a Good Location"
The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Lapad Beach and a multitude of good restaurants. However you need transport to get to the Old Town. The entrance foyer is spacious with a bar and lounge to the left and a large restaurant and shop at the end of the foyer. The upper floors are serviced by elevator. My room was on the side facing the sea which was a lovely view both from the interior of the room and the balcony. The room was of reasonable size with all the normal ammenities. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel had turned off the cooling side of their air conditioning system on the first of October which basically made my and others of our party that had rooms facing the water uninhabitable due to heat from mid day onwards. Interestingly enough the air conditioning in the foyer, bar, lounge and restaurant was working. The disappointing part was that on reporting the problem to the desk staff I found them unhelpful and totally disinterested in seeking a resolution. The restaurant serves fixed price buffet style dinner and breakfast. Both these meals have extensive choices of reasonable quality. However it does get crowded. In general I found it to be a good hotel with the exception of the air conditioning problem and the general staff attitude.
excellent location, fantastic views. Walking distance to downtown. Waterfront property. Always ask with sea view rooms. Garden view is not worth it. Better in old part of the hotel. No sand on the beach, all cement and stone but that's typical for this part of the sea.
This hotel treated us like royalty! Waking up to room service and enjoying breakfast on our balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the island of Lokrum was an experience we will never forget! There's a large private area for guests to lie out in the sun during the day and you're a 5 minute walk from the Old Town of Dubrovnik. A luxury hotel with luxury prices but the food, service and facilities are all top Class!
