"christmas and new year"
sorry not a review but a question what is the dress code for Christmas and new year please we are coming this year but cannot find the information on your web page thank you hope you can get back to me asap
Hotel location is excellent, right on the beach, very central, we booked half board with the intention of eating out in the evening, we did not have to! The food at the Las Palmeras was outstanding, the vast selection of food every day was amazing, you could not fault it, there was something for everyone. I would advise a sea view as the street view overlooks shops and the bars nearby would be noisy of an evening, we had a sea view and it was very quiet.
We spent a week in this hotel in early November and it was a truly relaxing experience although it did not start that smoothly. Upon arrival the check in was chaotic, I was offered to sign forms in Dutch, which is a language I don't speak and once the formalities were finished, we were still unable to enter our room as it was still being cleaned well past 14h. We had to wait for half an hour in the lobby, with my daughter running temperature and visibly unwell and upon my repetitive requests if the room is done we would receive only vague comments that it will be soon. I was truly stunned that it didn't occur to the young girls at the reception to apologize and handle this situation in a more professional way. Other than that we would recommend this hotel first and foremost for its situation, with an immediate access to the beach and the promenade, close to many shops and restaurants. The pool area is excellent and well maintained. The restaurants offered impressive variety and high quality food throughout our stay, the interior design is impressively fresh. Apart from the incident during the check-in the staff was very professional and amiable.
"A GREAT PLACE TO STAY"
Booked in here after moving out of neighbouring hotel after bad experience. We were greeted by Pieter on reception who helped the procedure of the transfer run smoothly. We had a first floor room with sea view. Although the room was not too big, it was clean and tidy and well presented. The food was delicious and plentiful with an amazing selection to choose from each evening. There was live entertainment each evening and a number of bars to choose. The hotel was busy on an evening and well supported by its guests who appeared to enjoy their stay as much as we did. We're so pleased we changed hotel and a big thank you to Pieter and the Damien the Duty Manager who was also on hand to help run the Hotel so well.
Booked Junior suite with sea view, got option of 7th floor or 3rd floor, selected 3rd floor as rooms were bigger and 2nd room a bit nicer.made complaint re cleaning of rooms on 3rd day which was dealt with but very bad reaction from staff member concerned bordering on aggression when she had to return to clean properly..wouldn't book junior suite again as 2nd room has no views..apart from that having stayed 2 weeks everything else was very good ..special mention to the animation team albeit we didn't participate they were brilliant both day and night at entertainment..The food was very good and plenty to choose from..reception staff were more than helpful..I've stayed in most hotels in tenerife and this one has improved a lot..apart from the cleaning encounter the only other thing that needs a big improvement is their wine both white and red available at pool bar and night lounge..It was the worst I've ever tasted..If that could be improved it would go a long way to making the holiday much better..
