"Amazing coffebaar Mike"
We had an amazing stay at our hotel Las Palmeras. Also definitly worth to visite Mike's coffeebar in the middle of the hotel. It has delicious coffees and furthermore a very friendly service by Natalia!! Nice to have such warm people around you while being on vacation!
"Big hotel, small amenities"
It is a big hotel, central location with lots going on immediately outside- many shops and restaurants. Located on the Sea side, but the nearest beaches are situated 10-15 min walk away on either side. Quite a few bars around, we had a sea view room and you can still hear loud music coming from them. Rooms are rather small as are the communal areas. Stayed at the end of March and there was no outside seating available at all after 6 pm when the pool bar closes. No outside terrace or anything like that where you can sit and enjoy a drink on a pleasant night. For us that was the biggest disappointment. When we ask at the reception- the answer was that it was still winter''', however the temperatures were going up to 28 degrees daily. Pools are not big enough, neither is the area around them for the hotels capacity.Food was good. All in all an average hotel, rather pricey for what it offers.
"Last minute booking"
Bit disappointed with room when we arrived due to Thomson rep not explaining clearly what had been booked and also we forgot it was the Easter weekend, and the hotel was packed. The Hotel itself is clean smart and well presented, the food was always hot and properly cooked with an excellent choice I couldn't see how anyone could complain or go hungry. Mealtimes where busy at times but never a free for all like some hotels. There was always room around the pool area and if all the sunbeds were in use the staff where happy to setup some more. It is also the first hotel I have stayed in where they do stop people putting towels out before breakfast and also remove them if they haven't been used for two hours. without doubt the very best thing about the hotel is the staff who couldn't be more friendly happy and helpful. Can't wait to go back
We stayed here for the first time April 17 very clean lots to do very friendly a bit noisy if you have a room over the night club street but not to bab if doors are closed recommend the other end of hotel food very good you can eat at one of two other restaurants in hotel twice one in each for every week you stay it has 2 pools both very clean easy to get to beach from back gate on to pebble beach would stay there again
My husband myself & 13 year old daughter have just had 12 days here. Would go again. Lovely hot weather most of the time. Lots to do during the day, table tennis, archery, rifle shooting, french boules, shuffleboard etc with good facilities mostly covered so you don't get burnt! Mostly younger children here so unfortunately my daughter didn't have anyone to be friends with. Evening entertainment was usual standard for most hotels i.e. okay! I think as from now it will be performed outdoors which should be better as the indoor room was very poor.....no stage, dingy, pillar blocking view etc. Animation team were good in particular the main girl called Nerea. She was brilliant. Food was very good with plenty of choice and always hot (apart from the salad of course!). My daughter is vegetarian and she ate better than she does at home! Our bedroom had a single bed and a king/queen size bed and they were comfortable. Small fridge which was useful for drinks. Safe in the room with a code chosen by yourself which is better than just one of you having a key. Room was clean but maybe a little dated. Not a problem though. Bath & hand towels are provided which can be changed daily if you wish. Also bath sized towels are provided free of charge at the swimming pool. One per person every two days. Tickets for them are given to you on arrival by reception. CARE....you cannot buy food/drinks with cash at the hotel. Everything goes on to your bill to be paid at the end of the holiday. You have to sign for everything. Make sure you keep all receipts and a note of when and what you have had. We were overcharged and managed to prove most of it but finished up paying for one drink more than we had had. A bit annoying and time consuming. Plenty of sunbeds round the two pools and some on a terrace. As usual everyone dashes out first thing to reserve them with their towels. However the hotel do put official notes on the beds during the day if they haven't been used for a while and remove the towels. The largest pool is deep all the way round so you can't stand up anywhere. Lilo's/balls etc aren't allowed which is a shame as it is boring just swimming round and not being able to stand up or play. Because of this most people and children seemed to go in the smaller pool where you can stand up, have fun and children did use swimming aids in there. The big pool was therefore wasted in my mind as it was quite empty & did have room for lilo's etc. Also a toddler pool.
