"Exceptional Adults Only hotel in enviable position"
Have just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay at this superb hotel. We were welcomed on reception and given a very comfortable room on the second floor with a garden/sea view. The hotel is set in attractive gardens right next to the beach and the whole area is immaculately clean and well kept. All staff are quite exceptional, our room was pristine and kept so on a daily basis, restaurant and bar staff were delightful and extremely hard working but still having time to talk to guests. Food was extremely high quality, very varied but always delicious with a huge choice at every meal. Entertainment was very good, either the piano bar with excellent solo musicians where we went most evenings, but also the disco bar with quality entertainers. We enjoyed the excercise classes and mini golf, we could also have played tennis, table tennis, shooting, pool and chess. It was our 30 wedding anniversary during our trip and the hotel kindly gave us a card and a bottle of fizz to celebrate. The hotel is so peaceful, no canned music blaring around the grounds and no unruly children. Will we return, oh yes.
Great hotel we were there Christmas Day 2016 till 8th January 2017 what a holiday I was a bit worried about some of the reviews just before we went even bought towels to take what a waste of weight and money the hotel provides as many as you want and can change at reception as many times as you want and good quality the food was excellent and a lot of variety there was something for every ones taste not disappointed also the staff in restaurant are good what I liked about it as well as soon as you finish one course they take your plate away ready for the next so no plates sitting around the table the thing I loved as well everyone dressed for dinner not a pair of shorts or tee shirt in sight it was lovely to see people had made an effort Christmas and New Year everyone look amazing the room was large and bright the bathroom was massive the room was spotless and stayed like that all through the holiday so thanks to the cleaner also plenty of sunbeds and the staff kept to the rule if you put towels on the bed before 9 30 they take them off which is a great idea no arguments then the bar staff look after you as well you do not have to wait to get served and drinks are all branded as well we upgraded from half board to inclusive and glad we did well worth the extra payment in the past we have always gone to another part of the island but in future we would return to this hotel with no hesitation so thank you all for making our holiday
"Told Pork Pies"
We came back to the Timanfaya Palace for our second visit in January 2017 and several months prior to arriving we asked (twice via email) for room 512 as we loved this room in January 2016. Upon arrival we were given room 262 and informed that the 5th floor was not being used due to renovation work being carried out on the 4th floor and therefore there were noise problems. Strangely enough we spotted people using 5th floor room balconies and we visited the 5th floor and noticed rooms being used. It left us with the feeling that we had been lied to and this has left a slightly bitter taste for future visits.
"Great staff, lovely hotel"
Visited in December for a week with my husband and family. Arrived and received a warm welcome from the reception staff and a glass of cava. Room in good order and had everything we needed. To me what made our visit so enjoyable was the excellent staff, everybody was cheerful, polite and nothing was too much trouble - I must give a special thank you to Angel who really was superb. Despite the bad weather we still had a lovely week. Looking forward to returning in April.
Soon as we arrived in reception area we were overcome with disappointment, overall reception / piano bar is shabby with stained & faded seating. Room: we were in 103, Air con was leaking from day one, stained & dirty walls in room, dirty mark on floor in bathroom was there for our full stay, please note that there are pool / table tennis tables right outside the room's terrace which is annoying. Buffet Restaurant: This was the best part of our stay, plenty of choice & well cooked, buffet restaurant staff are a credit to the hotel. As mentioned in a previous review the it can be cold in the restaurant in the mornings & evening at this time of year. Evening entertainment: If you eat early there is nothing until 21:30. Pool area: always clean with comfy sun loungers. We would not return to this hotel the H10 palace hotels are not up to Riu palace standards.
