"Amazing holiday! "
This review is a little overdue. Stayed here back in September and had a wonderful stay! The grounds of the hotel and the hotel itself self and so well kept. The staff are absolutely brilliant, so friendly and helpful. Especially those in the main restaurant, I have coeliac so can't have gluten and they were so accommodating every night showing me and what I could and couldn't have and bringing me desert every night. Having only just been diagnosed it really helped me fully enjoy my holiday. Some of the best hotel staff I've ever come across. We loved everything about this hotel from the great pools and cocktails and in the bar and would definitely return!
"Lovely staff - lovely hotel"
We returned last week from a relaxing stay at this hotel, our first visit for about 10 years. It was such a nice stay, with the big bonus of adults only, we have just booked for a week next year at the same time. The staff were, without exception, extremely efficient and very friendly. We had no complaints at all. All this and the best dessert selection I've seen in the Canaries!
"Sea View or Not to See View"
While Thomson Holidays still offer good value and the H10 Timanfaya Palace retains its place as a comfortable, welcoming hotel in an ideal Playa Blanca location, be aware, if you do not specify, and pay the additional cost of €10 p.p per night, you could be allocated a room on level 1(refurbished attractive room but small, wall facing, accessible /insecure 'terrace' - no view, overlooked by a public footpath above employee access ramp) or, level 00, no access to a view and even less daylight. We complained on arrival and were reassigned a room on level 4 (vacated by another Thomson client following a complaint about lack of direct sunlight onto the balcony) which did have a sea view but at additional cost. This is our fourth/fifth stay at the Timanfaya Palace and the first occasion we have experienced disappointment with booking a 'standard room'.
"Short break at Timanfaya palace"
Good reception, good room, great setting sun view over Atlantic, quality food something good for all tastes and great indoor/covered pool in quality location for catching the rays !!! We'll be back for certain.
"Excellent hotel.Fantastic location"
The hotel was about a 45 minute coach drive away from the airport. The first impression of the hotel was excellent. The reception had 4 staff to make check in fast and straight forward. The helpfulness of the staff showed straight away. We stayed in room 101 and we first thought that as it was close to the start of the corridor we would experience noise at night. This was not the case. As this is an adults only hotel it was so nice to have a civilised environment and no noise at all after about midnight. The room was well maintained and very clean. I did have a problem inputting the safe code but a quick call to reception and a member of staff came and rectified the problem very quickly. The restaurants are all fantastic. The buffet always had a good variety of delicious food and was always very hot. The restaurant staff were all exceptional with a very friendly manner. The cakes in Mikes coffee shop were served between 10.00am and 6.00pm and were gorgeous. During my stay I celebrated a birthday and the staff brought me a cake after my meal. A really nice touch. The service in the bars was always very friendly and very fast with a great selection of premium spirits all being available on the all inclusive package. The entertainment was held mainly in a downstairs bar but we preferred to sit in there relaxed Piano Bar in the reception as the nightly singers and musicians were brilliant. The location of the hotel if very good. We walked every day along the promenade that runs right outside the rear entrance of the hotel. The marina is about 45 minute walk and the town centre of Playa Blanca is about 25 minutes on foot. I would recommend this hotel as it is excellent. While we were staying the general age group was probably age 45 upwards.
