"Great for short stays"
A compact room that was clean and maintained to a satisfactory standard, although the windows lacked some TLC. There was plenty of tea and coffee supplied, but not a drop of milk of any kind. Breakfast was a normal buffet type with limited variety and no soya milk (my wife is allergic to normal milk). Would we stay here again' yes if a better offer was not available.
"Cheap but tired"
If this hotel was refurbished it would be excellent, the staff are very efficient and helpful, the food is also very good, it is just let down by being old and tired. It is extremely cheap to stay here but not as clean as it could be but is that age or cleanliness' Given a refurb we would certainly stay here again.....

Arrived at hotel Friday eve for noon flight on Saturday Room pleasant but very hot on a humid warm hazy night in Manchester, We ate in A Spanish tapas bar in Cheadle village which was excellent due to a big group eating dinner at 8 in restaurant ! we left hotel following morning with our FREE transfer by Lynx taxis on arrival at airport , taxis driver wanted £10 pounds of us ! we paid and phoned hotel when we got through the security ! This I think is a scam by Lynx taxis who would be bothered to question this on departure from airport ''' Hotel needs to address this a s a p ! but this is not hotels fault but a desperate taxi driver making money on the side !!!
"Could do better"
I stayed over the weekend to attend an event, the room had plenty of room but was in need of a new couch and windows. It wasn't very clean either. There is so much potential to make it brilliant if they update a few items and sort out the cleaning. We rushed to breakfast having overslept to just make it before 10am to find that people were still coming down at 10.40.
Booked the hotel due to catching an early flight the next morning.. Wish we hadn't bothered. We were moved to a new room 3 times - each room was absolutely disgusting. The carpets hadn't seen a Hoover for at least a week, we actually didn't take our shoes off until we got on the bed. Oh god the beds.. Each bed we saw had human hair on and in it. The staff member was actually visibly annoyed that we found this unacceptable and told us the laundry was done outside of the hotel. Surfaces were covered in dust, including the fan which caused my OH to have an asthma flare up. We were compensated with a bottle of red wine which neither of us drink, accompanied by 2 filthy glasses. We never did see the manager despite being told we would. We were then told he would be in touch by the time we returned from holidays. Nothing! I have emailed requesting full refund so will see if we hear back from him/her. Not optimistic. Seriously though, give this hotel a miss if your cleanliness standards are that of a normal individual. We would of rather stopped in our car.
