"Most amazing hotel"
We loved the hotel it was amazing, we booked a double room and got given a twin room but the hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff were amazing and their English was absolutely outstanding, they are a credit to the company!
"Weekend break to Amsterdam"
Great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only minor criticism was that the room was very dark, it could have done with a central light. Is a lovely old building with nice quirky aspects to it.
"I would NOT trust this hotel"
I was looking forward to a February school vacation with my 13 year old grandson, a once in life time trip! But, I was very sick with bacterial bronchitis and had to cancel on Thursday before a Tuesday arrival. This seemed liked enough notice for this hotel to refill the room and I certainly had sufficient reason. It seemed like a courtesy to the hotel not to contaminate the hotel and its guest with my germs, even if I had been able to make the international flight. They were unwilling to refund my money for the entire stay. I would Never make another reservation here without trip insurance, which should not be necessary for a hotel. Beware, guests may be forced to go there with their GERMS.
Hotel's location is very good, just three main canals away from the city center. You can take trams 1-2-5 just around the corner and the Museum Quarter is a 5 minute walk away. Staff was very cordial and friendly. Their assistance was greatly appreciated. However rooms are rather small and the hotel is quite expensive for its facilities and rooms.
"Long Weekend in early spring - 4 days"
Hi, decided on this hotel after studying all the reviews on TripAdvisor, and wasn't disappointed. The hotel is situated at the better end of the city on a canal where the tour boats go quietly up and down with stops immediately in front of the hotel, along with the trams into town. Really near the main museums, we walked to everywhere from the hotel. So things to check for - ask for a refurbished room we viewed 3 rooms 2 of which were refurbished (much nicer), also the first room was looking out to the centre court, whilst the room was great the view not so good, even a few large plants in the centre court floor would have been better than just the air conditioning grills! The room we ended up with for just a little more money was over looking the fountain with a balcony on the 5th floor (525) - superb. Desk staff were really helpful in changing the room, we had a choice of pillows - which is not common and a super king bed all of which made for a comfortable rest. A little bit of city traffic at night but slept well. We didn't eat in the restaurant as there is so many varied types to chose from close by, but had tea and coffee there as it looked so nice. All in all a lovely stay will go back again as there is a lot to see and do.
