"Classy History in the centre of Amsterdam"
Stayed one night and got a front-facing room as I really would love to overlook Leidseplein and the Hirsch building. I knew that, since it is near Leidseplein (with all of its toursits), it would be a bit noisy. That was bound to happen when staying in a historical building, smack in the middle of Amsterdam. The room itself was spacious enough, bed super comfortable and a bath instead of a shower, and a little balcon facing Leidseplein. Modern with a touch of the old Jugendstil building. Reservation did not include breakfast; we were offered a discount upon check in, if we would have breakfast in the hotel, which we kindly accepted. Breakfast is a buffet, coffee/tea is served at your table. Staff is correct and helpful.
The room was very cold, the heating system is not adequate. The bathroom was even colder. This hotel is in dire need of a substantial renovation. Staff was friendly and the location was good. Beautiful building, could be something great.
"Great place "
The hotel is few minutes walk from all touristic areas . Rooms are clean and well maintained the hotel team were great and helping . Breakfast was great many varieties great value for the money you pay . I will sure book there for my next trip to Amsterdam
"Great location! Fantastic beds!"
Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. It was highly recommended and didn't disappoint! Room was large and the bed was divine! Breakfast was lovely, but pricey! Location is walkable to many different neighbourhoods. We would definitely stay here again!
"Comfortable hotel but front desk staff need training"
Check in was fine and staff helpful, no offer of assisting with bags to the room though. Check out was painfully slow and the front desk team really didn't seem to think that is was an issue. Probably won't return to the hotel any time soon after this rather slack attitude to service.
