Small room (by American standards), but very comfortable (for European standards) and well located - close to stops for tram and trains. Front desk helpful and friendly. A couple of good restaurants nearby as well. We did not eat at hotel restaurant, but our friends did and they were not impressed. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay.
"Hamphire Stay April 2017"
It was a good place to stay. Not overly expensive, about a 10 minute tram ride from the center of the city. Rooms were on the smaller side, no air conditioning, breakfast buffet average. For 12.50-15.00 Euros, could have a much nicer breakfast outside of the hotel.
"Fantastic Hotel Staff"
We have been to Amsterdam about four times and this hotel had the nicest and most accommodating staff we have ever seen. The location was one of the best. The tram is literally around the corner. It was nice having shopping and restaurants so close to the hotel. The beds were very comfortable.
"Last two nights of a bus tour"
I stayed at this hotel for the last two nights of a two week bus tour. Hotel-wise, we had been in just about everything. This hotel was a welcome surprise. The staff was very friendly and the interior of the hotel was fresh and modern. Our room faced the street, I think it was the first one of our trip with a view, and had windows that opened. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the fact that it was in a neighbourhood with shops, restaurants, a park, a museum and a street market within walking distance. Surprisingly, even the city centre was not too far of a walk, which we discovered by accident. The tram stop was just outside the hotel and took about 10 minutes to get into the city centre. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was very good with lots of variety. We also had dinner there on our last night and it was also delicious, though I think we were forgotten at one point. I have absolutely no complaints about the hotel or the location and would recommend it to anyone.
"3 days in Amsterdam"
Very nice hotel: excellent italian food and wine in the Enoteka; very kind and efficient people at the reception. The hotel is quiet, but the street is a little bit noisy because the tram runs there from 6 am. And if you are walking, you can go to the Ryksmuseum or to the Dam in 35-45 min! Vey easy!
