of TripAdvisor Travelers recommend this hotel
We visited Chicago for our sons gymnastics meet so we needed some place that was close to the university and easy access to restaurants, etc. We loved the location and convenience of the hotel, it was absolutely clean and elegant inside and had all the amenities we needed. Will definitely go back!!
"If visiting Chicago would highly recommend"
We came to Chicago for a girls weekend to celebrate my friends 30th. We chose this hotel because the price was on point and it had good reviews. We were blown away! The rooms were extremely spacious amd clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff and doorman were very helpful and attentive to us; providing suggestions on where to eat and best way to travel (Uber, taxi, train etc). The breakfast in the morning far surpassed what we expected with biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon, waffles and your other staple complimentary items (cereal, yogurt etc). The location was perfect as it was a short walk to Michigan Avenue where we spent the majority of our time. Overall great experience!
When I made the reservation through the app, I indicated that we were bringing a guest for her first visit to the city, and a room with a view would be very much appreciated, if possible. When I did early check-in through the app the day before arrival, it gave me an option for a two-room suite at my requested rate. We were on the 39th floor in a truly amazing two-room corner suite with sweeping views of the city skyline and Lake Michigan. It's entirely possible that there had been a cancellation and we just got lucky, but we were so grateful for exceptional accommodations. A few notes in particular: Yes, parking is $60. The hotel is less than a block from Michigan Avenue and parking in that area is very pricey. Our vehicle was parked in a secure facility by a valet, and we could leave it there until 7pm on the day of checkout. I'll take that any day over being blocked in at the back of a gyro stand to save a few bucks. The staff were amazingly helpful. Ashley B at the front desk and Jesus in particular were terrific. They explained the parking situation to us, and because we were there on a holiday weekend late checkout was not available, but they tagged and held our belongings in secure storage and loaded them into our vehicle when we returned later that afternoon. Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and very well appointed. The hotel was very full, but we did not experience a wait for the elevator and there was plenty of food at breakfast. Food items and coffee were being refreshed as expected. We were very close to, but did not hear the elevator. We were not at all surprised that we could hear an occasional ambulance siren in the middle of downtown Chicago and adjacent to two hospitals. We would consider it typical city noise and were not at all disturbed. We highly recommend this property and we certainly plan to visit again.
"I found a used sanitary napkin in the hair drier bag..."
This was an unacceptably dirty hotel room without working curtains, a loud (and intermittently functioning) fan, and no staff who could answer questions about how breakfast items were prepared. I found a used sanitary napkin when I went to blow dry my hair and the staff did not clean my room between my first and second night stay. Very poor.
"Don't stay here"
This hotel is not clean and several rooms are not maintained. The managers are friendly but other staff members are rude. Go down the street for a better quality of service and the same price. Very disappointed by this stay and visit. We have stayed with other Hilton brands, with better outcome.
