"Great stay in a very good location"
The hotel was great quality, with a lovely marble lobby and a harpist playing as we checked-in! We really appreciated the bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our honeymoon. Staff were so friendly and couldn't have helped us more with planning our way around Hong Kong. The only reasons I gave a four rather than a five were because the outdoor jacuzzi is not heated and, although the breakfast spread was the biggest I've ever seen, it would have been great to have some muesli / granola within the range of cereals. But the hotel really was great overall, and I'd have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it.
"Very nice hotel"
Really nice hotel. Location might seem a bit out of the main attractions but it's only 2 steps from the metro station, a real plus. Everything is great, no need to explain. My room wasn't huge and may be I was expecting a little more from the room considering the elegance of the hall. Breakfast wonderful. Great bar on top floor with amazing views. I would have appreciated if they heat the pool a little bit, really chilly in November.
"Second to none!"
Amazing hotel, beautiful lobby and reception area. Second to none! Staff are very friendly but don't speak much English. Had asked for adjoining rooms which they sorted out quickly and efficiently for us. The location is close to all the central shopping areas and 5 minutes from the subway which makes travelling easy. Wonderful view from the windows and the roof top. The only let down was the "lights display" which wasn't quite what we had expected. Other than that definitely a place to come back to!
"Not what We had hoped"
The hotel is nice but checkin was awful. Hotel knew long in advance it was a birthday trip for both my wife and twin boys and no effort was made. The long trip in left us tired and wanting rest .We arrived around 8.30 a.m direct from London. I know this is well before the expected check in time but I would expect the hotel if it is catering for International customers to realise young children and families need an earlier check in.There was no where suggested for us to wait with our 3 young children but to hang around in the lobby for several hours. After watching several parties arrive after us and be given keys I approached the desk and asked why we were still waiting and was told they had been there first which was actually not the case. I asked to upgrade room to a suite and pay extra just so we could go and rest. I was told yes that could happen 10 minutes later they were sorry it couldn't happen. I asked for the manager and waited 30 minutes more to speak to him. It was a shambles and left us feeling very unhappy with the hotel staff and management . We did not get a room until 1pm and felt exhausted. The manager after not such an understanding conversation did improve and then checked on us the following evening which I felt was good. The bar and restaurant on the top floor is excellent!! The staff here were friendly and service great and almost made up for the bad start to the stay. The pool was very nice and great to swim around over looking the harbour. Beware of mosquitos at dusk here. Breakfast was mad expensive .
"A fantastic stay in the HARBOUR GRAND HONG KONG"
Each time that I am going in Hong Kong, I try to stay in the Harbour Grand. The hotel is very nicely situated, the standing is above what could be expected. The staff is looking at all the details to provide the best service.
