"Disappointing booking experience"
After booking a night through the Qantas website, I discovered as I printed out my confirmation booking that the date was wrong. Somehow the system didn't save my changed date and had the wrong date for 25 November. I was trying to book two rooms, which I did earlier in the day for another hotel, and the system was not allowing me to do so. I immediately called Qantas, and their Hooroo team then passed it on to their international team. A few days later I was advised that the booking can't be cancelled. In fact, any booking is so severely restricted you can't change the date, or even the person on the booking. This should be breaching basic consumer rights. I spoke to the hotel and they indicated a willingness to consider the situation. However, after several emails and phone calls I got nowhere. The hotel simply advised me that: "Regarding your booking, we have checked with our Director of Sales & Marketing and kindly inform you that booking are not allowed to change without penalty". The penalty is paying for a night early and not being able to change it. The no refund policy is fundamentally a breach of consumer rights and should be illegal! My advice would be not to book any room without a refund as you will have zero flexibility. No date change, no nothing. Unfortunately it also mean I will never use this hotel again, as a frequent visitor to Hong Kong. They have shown an inflexibility and unwillingness to consider a fair and reasonable request.
The Harbour Plaza is a crazy place :-) Due to the topography you enter on the 7th floor so my room, being on the 15 floor was, when I entered actually two flights up from the the ground level at that specific place of the hotel. Quite funny! The room was great - exactly as big as you need it and surprisingly quiet. Quite comfortable too! Breakfast was good as expected and offered a good selection of things to eat. Had forgotten that in HK you use English electrical sockets (DUH! Rookie mistake!!) but the concierge was of course able to help. In general, the staff was extremely helpfull and professional - and with a great sense of humour too! The pool looked really nice - from the pain and sweat on the treadmill, which by the way was sufficient for my needs! All in all a great stay, and I believe good value for your money. Hopefully, I will be back.

We stayed in the service apt on the 15 floor of hotel for around 6 weeks; picked this hotel due to its convenient location; and the relatively good review comments from previous customers. The hotel staff were generally very helpful, facilities were well above average, except for the internet broadband speed which was very slow! Their manager kindly offered the use of their business center which has a much better internet bandwidth after hearing my concerns! I therefore greatly appreciate all their assistance, and will certainly stay in this hotel again in my future Hong Kong visits!
"Excellent hotel for business/frequent travelers!"
This hotel has a business floor with a lounge that overlooks the harbor. It features daily breakfast and snacks & drinks in the evenings while enjoying the views of the beautiful Hong Kong harbor. The management and staff are excellent and their service is superb! My family has stayed here for years, and we wouldn't go anywhere else. It's our home away from home! We love it!!

One of the best night of the year. Convenience location right at the hung hom station and fantastic night view of the Victoria Harbour. Special thanks to Jess and Millie. They made my day. Just love the room they arranged for us. We will definitely come back!
