Is a fine hotel and offers you a lot of value against a competitive price. Rooms are well equipped not to big, but big for HK. The pool and the gym are fantastic. You don't have wifi in the rooms that is a minus. You do have free wifi in the park next to the hotel.Comment of D. Marco , Netherlands the 2016-01-19
"Good value for money"
Stayed two days here. Rooms are neat, spacious, better than I Expect for this price. The facilities are a bit old, there are stains on the carpet, and the room I stayed in stink a bit. The room is actually a small studio. Guess that will be super good for business traveler.
"Great Value and Nice Hotel"
This is my first time stayed at this hotel, the location close the MTR. It was a great value (HKD$400) and the room was huge included a stove microwave and refrigerator very comfortable. We stayed in a non smoking room but no free wifi in hotel.
"Excellent and affordable "
This is my second time in 8 years staying in this hotel. It has become somewhat modernized since my last stay with free "handy" mobile devices that have unlimited 4g connection and can be used to Hotspot your own phone if you do not have a local data connection. We found this service invaluable in our stay traveling around the city. Care must be taken not to damage it but shouldn't be a problem for the sensible user. The lobby and surrounding area is very well kept, including the shopping centers connected to the hotel on either side. The location boasts many shops, restaurants a cinema and a luscious park behind the complex. Travel from this area is very easy, with a light rail train 5 minutes to the closest mtr station which will take you anywhere in the city. The rooms themselves were very spacious and really well kept. Housekeeping staff were very friendly every morning. I did not dine in the hotel during the evening time but did partake of the buffet breakfast which for the cost was more than reasonable. All in all I enjoyed my stay, found the staff to be very helpful and also friendly at any hour. Protip: the tower with a bar has a 'all you can drink In two hours' promotion which must be quite the novelty to some. My one complaint is they removed the pool table which was barside during my previous stay. It was nice to keep busy during the evening and also a great meeting point for guests of all nationalities.
"Best deal in town' Great value & location"
A modern hotel that is excellent value for Hong Kong. Location is outside more popular tourist hotels but North Point is ideal in that it is minutes away from the MTR, buses and trams and is far less crowded than Central/Wanchai/Causeway Bay or Tsimshatsui. There is a shuttle bus every hour to Central district, airport check-in and other locations on the island. Despite renovations going on we stayed in a higher floor & it was nice to have a harbour view which is a rarity in Hong Kong. The staff at the reception, the conceierge and room cleaners were all friendly, efficient and most willing to help. The breakfast buffet was good...we did not eat in any other of the hotel restaurants choosing instead some of the many other facilities in the area We lived in Hong Kong in the 60's 70's & 80's and visit quite frequently. We were very happy with the Harbour Plaza and would strongly recommend it. We will most definitely stay here again. A word of caution...when booking make sure it is the hotel in North Point. By mistake we booked at a sister hotel in Tuen Mun through Agoda and changing the booking took some persuasion on our part even though the hotels are part of the same chain
"A modern hotel, comfortable and relaxing "
I have just visited this hotel with my partner. It was my first time in Hk. I loved it! The room with the kitchenette was very generous for space! The bed is a little on the harder side but was very comfortable. It was good that the bed was a double and not two singles pushed together. The views were fantastic! No noise from our room however a friends room did experience some noise. Which can't be helped in hk. Shower and bath facilities were great. All very clean. The fusebox in the wardrobe did reverberate a little at night,it bothered me for a little while but I got to sleep easily. The air con was noisy too when trying to sleep however again this is something in hk that you just need to get used to! The rooftop pool was spectacular. Especially at night the bats love flying overhead. I also loved the integration to the shopping centre. It made it very accessible to have a wander in there. The only downside to this hotel is that there is not free WiFi! In Hk I find this very stingy and dissapointing. Most places in hk have free WiFi ... Why after paying so much money is this not available' I went to HSBC in the mall, even they have free WiFi ... This is the only thing that bothered us. Everything else was superb! Staff very helpful and friendly, and tried their best to accommodate even when I couldn't speak much Cantonese! Would certainly stay here again. Just hope WiFi becomes free ;)
