"Amazing! Great stay!"
We had a wonderful experience with this fabulous hotel! Value for money. There are Filipinos working here which made us really proud! Very helpful and accommodating staff! Me and my husband had a very memorable stay at HVH and will surely recommend to my friends and relatives. Keep up the good work! CHeers! :))
"A whiff of the West"
I visited Macau to witness the 1st edition of the local film festival, and was invited to stay at the Harbourview, a short taxi ride from the station where the ferry from the Hong Kong airport stops, even a shortish walk if you're not carrying too much luggage and know your way. Everything in Macau is pastiche, this imposing old world-like hotel too, aiming to resemble something Central European mid-1800s, stylistically radically different from the ultra-modern architecture of most of the rest of Macau. Rooms are really nice, spacious and painted in unobtrusive creamish colours. Mine did not have a view of the harbour or anything very interesting, you should probably ask them to give you a room with a view of the city. Actually, I did (but they didn't). Breakfast buffet is truly international, with chefs preparing Eastern soups and Western omelettes to your heart's desire. They have an extremely complicated coupon system for their restaurants and bars which, even after more than a week, I gave up trying to make head and tails of, but possibly it pays to devote more time to it than I cared to. The lobby, at Christmas-time when I was there, is glittery and plush. If you're not into this, you're probably in the wrong part of the world. Staff is helpful, but not overly familiar with the English language.
"Traveling with Elderly"
Buffet Breakfast is very good. Value for money. Food was very nice. Esp. the soupy noodle with vegetables. Fruits are good too. Hotel provides free shuttle service from Macau Ferry Terminal. Not sure if they have free shuttle from Taipa Ferry Terminal or Macau Airport at Taipa island side.
"Memorable Anniversary Stay!"
I was checking in with my wife for a nice and peaceful getaway on our 5th year anniversary, a special thanks to Assistant Duty Manager Wallace for taking very good care of us! He upgraded our room for our special occasion with a romantic ambience added to the room's set-up, Wallace was also very helpful to provide some good local restaurant choices for us that we really enjoyed! This was a very special stay for me and my wife and definitely will return in future or recommend to family and friends!
"Goodish, but plainly for Chinese patrons"
Good rooms and beds. Well located with interesting walks nearby. Staff friendly but had little English; it was hard to get information. Most of the people staying here were Chinese. Over expensive for what it provided. Sterile atmosphere and pretentious furnishings. Swimming pool was not attended.
