"Birthday getaway "
We booked this for a long birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the perfect hotel for the occasion. This hotel is very much driven by excellent customer service and this was evident as throughout our stay every person who worked there acknowledged us with a warm greeting as we walked past them. Some of the highlights for us was the exceptional selection and quality of food at breakfast, coupled with very attentive staff. We wanted to especially mention the lady (with short blonde hair - sorry, we didn't take her name) who served us on several occasions in The Linum. We spent a morning in the Thermes Marins Spa, which was fabulous. The feature of having a salt water pool was very unique along with the outside deck and jacuzzi. All in all a very relaxing time. We had dinner at the hotel's Michelin star restaurant, The Vistamar, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations with the feeling that every course was rushed. The quality of the food did not compare to other Michelin restaurants we have eaten in. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to return when coming back to Monte Carlo.
I had the pleasure to spend a few days at this lovely hotel. Had a very nice room, plenty of space and with a lovely view across the harbor. Comfortable bed and a fast responding air con/heating system. Service through out the hotel was swift and excellent, even though it was slightly difficult to get more than one cup of coffee at breakfast, (we drink a lot of coffee). However I'm sure the staff would quickly have learned our habits had we spend more than two days. Apparently the room I had was a smoking room with ashtrays, but even the most delicate nose could not possible have smelled residues from former guests. However I did notice a very strong smell of cigar in my room on the day of leaving, apparently coming through the ventilation system. Had I been staying longer, that would definitely have been a problem. That being said, this is absolutely the right place go if you want to be spoiled
One of the most luxurious hotel, I've ever stayed in. Nicely decorated room. I loved the mandarin trees on the little garden that my room was looking. Lovely place. Front desk was very helpful to accommodate our needs, concierge helped us to select nice restaurant and suggested Buddha Bar which was very good.
What a fantastic hotel this is! The service is impeccable. Had a wonderful stay. Room was spacious and luxurious. Definitely one of the best hotels in Europe. Only negative and it was not really the hotels fault- construction is the square opposite meant not a great view. Though was not disturbed in any way
"Best Hotel Experience...would give more stars if I could."
The property is exceptional and the service supreme. Quality through and through. The hotel was built in1900 and the old world charm and history exude without the inconvenience of lacking modern amenities. It has been maintained and updated through the years and is impeccable. Spa, fitness room and pool are world class. Basics: rooms are large with big beds and crisp, high quality linens. Large marble bathroom with powerful shower and luxurious towels and robes. Blow dryers are high powered. The rooms are completely silent of outside noise. We had the buffet breakfast daily and would recommend dining on the terrace, weather permitting. The service always makes or breaks my stay and this was probably the best I have experienced. Every detail was taken care of and was done with pleasure. Absolutely no attitude.
