"Fantastic Location and Friendly Staff"
Had a great overnight stay at the Heywood House Hotel. Were welcomed by a friendly member of staff when we checked in who gave us tips on what to see and do during our short stay. Stayed in room 213 on the 2nd floor which overlooked the road in front of the hotel and had a lovely window seat where you could watch the world go by. Also had a complimentary bottle of wine which went down nicely before we went out for something to eat. Was worried about noise as you could hear people coming back from the nearby bars outside in the evening but managed to sleep like a log. The room had lots of storage and very comfy beds. Toiletries were lovely too. Had breakfast at The Alchemist next door which we received a 20% discount on as we were staying at the hotel. Parked at Qparks in Liverpool One which cost £11.00 for the 24 hours with the discount from the hotel and just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend this hotel for its central location to Liverpool One, The Cavern and the Albert Docks and the many other sights and sounds Liverpool has to offer.
"Not a proper 4*"
Room was pokey, very noisy with traffic under my window from 6.20am, and the WiFi was difficult to log in to. There was no water in the room, no milk for my morning cuppa, no restaurant on site |(it was a very good cocktail restaurant/bar adjoining). The shower was great though, but a tip, either undo the complimentary toiletries before you get in or take your own! On the plus side the bed was comfy and the staff very helpful and friendly, and the room, although looking a little tired (like me at a far too early hour) was very clean. I stayed at The Pullman for nearly the same price last week when in Liverpool, I believe I'll be heading there again after my experience at The Heywood.
Great location in the heart of Liverpool. The room was lovely with a double shower. The staff were really helpful booking taxis for us. An added bonus of staying at this hotel was having 20% off at a local restaurant. Definitely will be back for another visit.
Recently stayed on a Friday night in the executive suite. The hotel room was lovely and modern, comfortable beds with extra pillows, big bathroom with a very good shower , tea and coffee facilities in the room and also an iron and ironing board. The staff were very accommodating and polite. I have read on some other reviews about noise. Our room was nice and quiet (room 211) as it was facing away from the bars next door but as it was a Friday night it may have been quieter than on a Saturday. Hotel itself is in prime location as it is less than 2 minute walk from Castle Street (lots of nice restaurants and bars) 5 minute walk from the docks, and 5 minutes from more lively bars such as Matthew Street and the famous Cavern. Highly recommend. We shall be staying again.
"Another great stay!"
We have stayed here a few times before and it has never failed to deliver a first class service. The rooms and facilities are great and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant, It is in a great situation near the Pierhead and Liverpool 1. Would recommend it.
