The Hilton Atlanta is located in downtown Atlanta, only 15 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, this hotel is ideally situated within walking distance to many Atlanta city centre attractions.
"watch your credit card"
I booked a room at this hotel, and even though it was a regular rate booking, they charged me a one night deposit at the time of booking. I wasn't going to stay at the hotel for six months. Since I prefer to not pay for a service I'm not going to use for several months, I decided to cancel my reservation. The Hilton Atlanta has lost my business for good.
We were not informed that the hotel was under construction. There was dust everywhere. The bathroom tub was a disgrace, we found a previous guest shampoo and public hair in the tub. I asked prior to arrival to have extra pillows and towel in the room. This was not completed. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was very pleasant and tried hard to answer our questions that we had about the area, but she was new to the area and was unable to help, and she forgot to give us our vouchers for our breakfast. When we went to talk with the Concierge about the area they were more than helpful, they were fantastic!!!!!! They helped us out immensely. They had housekeeping bring us towels and pillows, they also supplied our breakfast vouchers. Anytime we had questions they we quick to have answers for us, Michael and Brian were the best !!!! Love them... They really went above and beyond when we had any questions for them. When checking out, when we told the front desk staff about our last night stay regarding the very inconsiderate guest on our floor that kept us up until 3 am (we had to be up at 6 am to get to the airport) and we did call down to the front desk at 12:30 to tell them about the problem. The front dest staff told us that we needed to call more than once to have the problem resolved .... This is not acceptable
"It's clean and comfortable"
It's not a mistake to stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food in the lobby is good, the bar is well staffed in the lobby and the staff are polite. It is a bit older and a few things about the place show the wear from so manny travellers over the years.
Overall the place was nice. We paid for an upgrade which included breakfast but the 2nd day we could not find where they moved the breakfast. There was no sign and no notice was given so we paid for breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. The staff in the restaurant was superburb and very friendly. All the restaurants are top quality cuisine and service. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. I was impressed that all the elevators were operating and fast. Alternative Parking is available a block over for convenience and reduced rates.
"Valentine's Day get away"
I took my man there for a surprised Valentine's Day get away and the staff was excellent and the room was beautiful. They allowed me to set up the room the way I wanted so it could really made a memorable.
