"Meh- the Marriott across the street will give you better service"
I decided to stay here one week when the rates were low- because this hotel is always priced high. Not sure why after staying here... I was whisked through the check in process. I almost felt like I was a bother to the front desk staff. Then they kept texting me. I don't know why, since I was staying in the hotel and completely reachable by hotel phone. I didn't think that was very professional, especially since no one asked if that was ok. The concierge lounge was not anywhere near what I'm used to at other properties and chains. The food was less than appetizing, and breakfast was out of fruit by 7:30, with no sign of anyone to refill anything. I'm glad I didn't pay extra for that service. I got room service and my order took forever, and then was completely wrong. The food selections for room service weren't anything special. Not much for those with allergies or wanting to eat well on the road. The room wasn't very impressive, and felt quite dirty. Definitely in need of an update. I wasn't too impressed with this property, and wouldn't stay again.
"Multiple mix ups with some resolution"
Ok, our company arranged a late check in for me and another co worker since we knew our flights arrived at midnight. We arrive at 145am and being polite I allow my co worker to go first during check in. She gets her room and off she goes to get some sleep. 35 minutes later I am still waiting because apparently there are no rooms left. They offered me a room with a pull out bed and no shower'''' I take the room and find out it had a mini shower luckily. They gave me some breakfast vouchers but after I got home I still got charged for breakfast and still trying to resolve. The first night was going to be free since I didn't get an actual room but we still got charged for that. I didn't realize this until my co worker called and told me she got charged since her card was on the first night reservation. Other things that were disappointing is the gym closes at 10pm which sucks because I like to do a like work out after dinner and work. Nice hotel, the rooms are nice, good location right by convention CENTER and inner harbour, and nice view of orioles stadium from some rooms. Just disappointed on how many mix ups happened and still trying to resolve!
"Convenient to Downtown Attractions and Convention Center"
Typical rooms (only one sink in double/double and very small closet with few hangars). No hairdressing mirror in bath (a personal pet peeve to you folks who do FF&E for hotels). Attached to convention center via long walk but at least in air conditioned hallways. Elevators slow for such a large property. Rather boring lobby bar and food service.
"Nice terrace view of ball park"
The best feature was definitely the terrace. Sitting outside watching a ball game was great. Hotel was just so/so. Gym was okay. Nice hot tub. Parking fees were outrageous - be prepared to spend an extra $30 per day just to park at the parking garage.
We stayed at this hotel on Saturday night, as we had tickets to the Ravens game on Sunday. (The first game against Buffalo) The location was excellent. The place was clean, and the staff friendly. The rooms were very nice. The view from the room was really nice looking over downtown Baltimore. The fitness center was a good one, and it looks directly over Oriole Park, right onto the field. That makes a boring treadmill much more tolerable! Nice lap pool too. They let me keep the car in the garage until after the game for no extra charge, which was nice. And, again, you can't beat the location. This hotel facilitated the best and easiest time I've had going to a Raven's game. I recommend it highly.
