"good hotel, poor service, average beach"
the rooms and the property are good even though we've seen a few rats in the evening by the pool. the food was quite average and the service was poor, we had to ask for everything several times and most of the employees had an attitude and obviously just wanted to finish their shift and go home asap. the watersports center would always close early, the beach on the property is very average, carlisle beach on the other side of the property by Radisson is much better. would not stay at the property again.
"My stay at Hilton Barbados Resort"
My stay at Hilton Barbados Resort was an enjoyable one. The staff was very courteous. The rooms very well kept. I only experienced breakfast as a meal and they carted for all. The service was great and the meals tasty. This is the Christmas season and the hotel was lovely decorated the joy of the season was felt in the atmosphere.
"Great first Barbados hotel/destination"
The staff was pleasant. I LOVED the home made banana bread and other pastries served at breakfast! It's important to have authentic food experiences at hotels for me. Our room was impeccably cleaned each day. The beach is FANTASTIC! I could have stayed in my hammock all day. I'd love to return!
"Beautiful View, Relaxed Experience"
There is nothing like the sound of the ocean outside your window. This hotel is graced by a beautiful horseshoe beach, and offers pretty sunsets. This is a "relaxed" Caribbean experience. Do not bring fancy clothes or the idea of tropical luxury. The staff are very nice and accommodating , but the hotel does not have the amenities and services expected at a five star resort. If you visit with the idea of having a relaxing experience with most comforts, you will have a great experience. Unlike some other places in the region, this hotel offers consistent power, very clean rooms, a nice selection of cable channels, a couple of full service restaurants, a hair salon, spa and gift shop on site. There is a buffet breakfast, as well as an executive floor which offers a modified and spotty breakfast. All the elements are there, but at a mid tier level in terms of quality. Delightfully relaxing trip at a competitive price. Great destination for a Caribbean vacation that offers everything without breaking the bank.
"Definition of a mediocre giant with little care for the actual experience"
Everything about this hotel is mediocre. From the interior, to the service, to the food served both at breakfast, beach, and the restaurant. But let me share a specific example. Upon arrival room has two water bottles, but no bar. Next day, upon room being cleaned, no water left in the room. Mind you, there's a coffee machine. But no water. When I call them - they act somewhat surprised that I was looking for the same water bottles that were there a day before. Is this a matter of cost' I doubt it; just poor experience planning. Going to breakfast the wait is ~15 minutes because the employees are running around the dining area. Trying to buy a souvenir hat with the hotel logo - no one knows how much it costs. I am sent from the fitness center to the spa, whereupon I am directed back to the fitness center because only they know the price of the cap that the spa is selling. This whole thing is hanging on by snot, and there is no way it is a four star hotel. Spend your money elsewhere and look for a place that genuinely is interested in their customers.
