Overall very good, location excellent just a little expensive on the food and drink Rooms very clean Bit poor that you have to pay for beverages in the business lounge as in the UK you don't. Overall recommend
"The property is dated. Worst house keeping experienced"
The property is dated. It was noisy during the stayed due to the property having renovation. You can hear all the noises from the renovation even from the pool area. This was a bummer as my partner and I are looking for a quiet, relax vacation. If you are a light sleeper, get away from this hotel. Perhaps it will get better after all renovation has been completed. Room keeping was a disaster. Room wasn't even cleaned up and I had to call the front desk and make sure they take care of their business while we were out for dinner. Surprisingly, my request was totally being ignored. No one clean our room! The second issue was my partner and I went to the poor area the next day around 9ish am and returned to the room 4ish pm. Room wasn't cleaned out so we were kinda upset. The room keeper knocked on the door while my partner was taking a bath. I told we will be out in about 30 mins. She told me she got no time for this as she needs to go home. I guess she wanted my partner to stop showering and put on her clothes to get out of her way so that she can get her job done and go home on time' Shame for Hilton. I've had travelled over 100 countries and never encountered issue like this. I should have stick with Marriott!
"Fantastic 8 days at the Hilton, Barbados"
I just got back from a week at the Hilton Barbados, I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay - the service is fantastic, the staff very friendly and helpful and the ocean facing room just beautiful (thank you housekeeping). Well done to the management and Hilton! The facilities are fantastic - pools, jacuzzi, gym, spa, restaurants, kayaks, SUP - all great and makes for a lovely holiday. Having hired a car directly through the hotel for one day (great rate offered, good option over very expensive taxis on the island), we drove around the island and could compare where we were staying. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the hotel I chose and its location, I think the best on the island. It has a huge beach with two swimming areas into either a slightly calmer bay or into the caribbean sea. Other areas of the island have such narrow beaches, you would compete for space and the views from the Hilton are beautiful. Poolside bar food and breakfast a la carte are very well priced and in line with local food prices on an island that is very expensive!! Cannot recommend the Hilton enough! Only downside was pesky beach salespeople trying to flog jet ski's, massages, jewellery - irritating when you are relaxing.
"One of my best weekend getaways ever, would definitely be back!"
Check in was about a 5 min wait, but staff was friendly, room was ready-- overlooking all pools from the 3rd floor-- private and spacious covered balcony. This hotel has awesome vacation amenities. beach front location, great food and drinks served to us on the beach from the bar. Infinity pool, regular pool, kiddie pool, hammocks, hot tub, --very clean-- elevators aren't super slow, which is good because I detest waiting. The beds were comfortable, robe provided for our stay-- fridge in room, but NO microwave- ugh. I didn't upgrade to executive lounge because I didn't need it-- but I later needed the microwave in there-- staff was kind enough to warm up my food-- housekeeping went above and beyond by assisting me in taking my hair down. Sofie, a nice lady on the beach made a call for me and I got my hair braided right in my room. We rented jetskis on the beach for $50 for 30mins-- really not bad-- I've paid more in Freeport, Bahamas. Staff was helpful in telling us what's near and happening-- the Gap was good for our Saturday night--Oistins Fish Fry a must do in Barbados! Great drinks, music, food-- and $2 (cabbies run to take you around) just ask-- carry change-- and remember things can add up but it's vacation so work hard, play harder and enjoy-- this LOCATION IS great -- on our last full day-- we spent 10 hours at the resort purposely-- lounged on beach, in pool, hot tub, ordered food and drinks all day. I can't wait to go back!
"Hilton Conference Stay"
I attended the Annual CTO Conference and had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton for 4 nights. As a Barbadian, i was truly proud of the warm hospitality of the staff there. Our restaurant staff were very mannerly and efficient, always made myself and the Junior Minister of Tourism ( who they thought was my daughter!!!!!lololol) welcome.. Thanks to the Housekeeping staff for tidying my room. The view from my room of Carlisle Bay and Bridgetown was breath taking and the beauty of the ocean,, Proud of my little island and its people.....going 50 years strong. thanks Hilton for an enjoyable stay.
