"Recent visit from LI NY"
We just returned from an excellent visit to this wonderful hotel. Management is amazing, we had to make several changes to our travel plans and the hotel accommodated us with each request. While at the hotel we had a small issue with a bill and it was immediately taken care of without incident. Hotel is clean and well run; our executive room was amazing with breakfast, Wi-Fi and local calls included plus daily newspaper. House keeping services are excellent. There is also afternoon tea, which the English visitors particularly enjoyed. Also light snacks and drinks in the evening for people staying in the executive rooms. Beaches and pools are great, pools are super clean. (several persons on the beach selling items/services can become a little annoying at times, however, this is outside the control of the hotel as all beaches in Barbados are public. The beach sellers will leave upon request.) George Washington House is nearby & is a great site to visit. - Bridgetown is also nearby. Several good restaurants also nearby. Thank you and well done Hilton Barbados for a wonderful stay; hope to see you all again soon.
"7 Day Anniversary Celebration Vacation"
We arrived on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The check-in process was very slow even though it was not crowded. The food and drinks were expensive with happy hour lasting for only an hour. There should be complimentary ice water available in the lobby area. Most of the staff was friendly. Shout out to Natasha at the front desk, Marcia at the pool, and Fredrick, one of the Bell Men.
"Great time in Barbados!"
We traveled as a family with a young infant early October 2016. It's a great hotel for the price with a great beach and nice pools. Not much to do around the hotel unless you get a taxi. Avoid the breakfast buffet, their a la carte option are far more reasonable price wise and the food is made fresh for you (it's not something they offer unless you ask). We were upgraded upon check in which was nice. Free WIFI if you are a Hilton member so I recommend you join. The food at the restaurant was ok, not bad, not great EXCEPT for the Grill that recently reopened that was fantastic. They also had a live performance with a lady that had a beautiful voice. I would recommend this hotel, the staff is friendly, the pool is nice and the beach is wonderful!
I doubt anyone would be disappointed with this hotel. The staff, rooms and pools are all great. The food is top quality and there isn't anything at all to complain about. Having said that, for smokers, it can be a little disappointing as there are no areas accommodating us smokers. Yes, you can smoke on the beach, or across the street from the hotel which isn't very practical. I would love to see an area near the pool for those who smoke, instead of having to get up and walk to the beach for a smoke. I still would rate this hotel as a ten and we are loving every minute of our stay.
"1st time on Barbados - memorable stay at Hilton"
I stayed with my wife and our two sons four nights at the Hilton Barbados as part of our fall-season getaway vacation from Europe, Denmark. We flew in from New York, and as soon as we settled in at Hilton the build-up NY city stress and the 5 hour plane acre completely evaporated by the breathtaking sights of Barbados, the carribean charm and Hiltons spectacular settings and extremely kind and helpfull staff. My wife left her phone and credit card on a public toilet at the airport, which we diddnt realize until we arrived at the hotel. Under normal circumstances panic would have taking control, however with the help of Christina from the front desk we managed to stay calm and we recovered the phone and credit card later that same day. The Hilton facilities are truely amazing and the property is grand and quite spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the pool areas and the restaurents. The beaches at the Hotel and the Carlisle bay is simply the best we have ever visited - clear blue water - white powder sands. Snorkling and swimming with the turtles at the Carlisle Bay is a must do and an experience for life. We stayed on the 7th floor in an executive room. The view of the ocean from the room was breathtaking and room was nicely rennovated and included all the ameneties you require. The executive lounge access was a nice addition. The Hotel admits cruise guests on day passes to the resort, so at times the pool area can get quite crowded with limited availabilities of sunbeds. We dined at the hotel most nights, which was enjoyable and practical with the kids, but dont expect high-end cuisine - the food is OK but nothing spectacular. One night we dined at the nearby itallien restaurent Buzo (located next to the Marriot) which is a 15 minute walk from Hilton and highly recomendable if you are into itallian food and wine. Big thank you to all the friendly staff at Hilton going out of their way making our 1st Barbados stay very enjoyable and very memorable. Family Gustafson
