Fantastic and excellent hotel. A very good extensive breakfast with large choice. A bit further away from the Centre and the City famous beaches but many better shopping malls in Barra de Tijuca and large white sandy more silent Brazilian populated beaches.Comment of W. It provided excellent facilities except for one night when they were filming where we wanted to eat! Food tended to be a bit samey, but was adequate. Rooms great for us and wonderful bathroom facilitiesComment of M. Anne , United Kingdom the 2017-01-01
Classic Hilton experience, Great business center, Great pool and also a decent fitness center. The staff is really good and polite. The rooms are very modern and cozy, but this comes with a price that is the distance to the beach.
It's an Hilton, but at a such discounted price (applied to my company) that makes it the best choice for a Business Hotel in Barra da Tijuca region. If you don't mind a location in front of the beach, you'll appreciate it at most.
"Excellent Hotel for Business"
Stayed in the hotel for six nights to attend a conference at Rio Centro. The hotel is located 10 minutes drive from RIO Centro. A BIG Plus due to heavy traffic problems in the city. The hotel is also located 2 minutes walk from Meptroplitan Shopping Mall which offers good dining options and shopping opportunities for those of you that are interested to combine business with pleasure. The hotel is modern, well maintained. The rooms are specious and modern with all amenities. Breakfast is good. Very modern fitness center and pool. Service in both dining and reception areas are superb. Will decently will use the hotel for my next trip to the area.
"Solid new Hilton with some growing pains"
This is a fairly newly built Hilton located well west of the major tourist attractions in Rio. It's near the Olympic Park and RioCentro convention center but not much else. There is a mall next door. Overall I found the property to be nice, especially the rooftop bar, pool and fitness center. It's not nearly as big as it looks from the outside because the hotel is actually L shaped, not a big square. My biggest concern with the property is the food. Breakfast is fantastic (some of the freshest fruits I've had, and even a do it yourself juicer) but I found lunch and dinner to be very lacking. Lunch/room service: The ceviche was okay, but the crispy shrimp was very basic and not what I was expecting. The Hilton burger was good. Dinner was not as good. I wasn't impressed with the choices (a whole section of Japanese food seemed odd) and they were out of stock on a number of food and wine items. My waiter Andre did a fantastic job of a tough situation and I was very impressed with him. I had a mushroom risotto which was okay but somewhat bland. Overall I didn't find the menu inspired but perhaps the English translations of the menu items were not coming across' On a free day, Hilton booked me a "one day in rio" tour with a third party. It was awesome as you spend the day doing all the major tourist stuff and get back in time for dinner. If you have just one day free on a business trip, do this. Lastly, the staff at the reception desk was very good. There was one particular employee that really helped me book the tour and helped with gathering a unique request for receipts. I'm sorry I don't recall her name but she was great. If you're a Hilton loyalist and need to be at RioCentro, this is a solid option.
"NICE VIEW, EXCELLENT BREAKFAST AND GOOD LOUNGE"
This is a late review for our stay in January. As a diamond member, we've been upgraded and enjoyed a nice room with louge access. Our only complain is for not being able to stop in a floor to get ice, as our key did work only for lounge floor - without ice machine. One of the benefit is to park outside and no need to pay for valet parking.
