Had an outstanding stay at the Hilton Beijing Capital Airport Hotel from the moment I checked in until I checked out. The hotel was just setting up an almost life sized gingerbread house fully covered in real gingerbread. The wonderful smell of fresh baked gingerbread greeted me each day walking into the hotel. The room was very spacious, beautifully appointed with an amazing shower & bath and the bed was extremely comfortable. The buffet breakfast in the restaurant was superb with an amazingly vast assortment of both western and asian choices. The food was extremely fresh and many items such as soups and omelets are available made to order. The service was also very, very good. I also enjoyed the wonderful cocktail and food choices available at the Long Bar. Again the service was impeccable. The pool was pristine and the gym was very well equipped. There is also a wonderful iSpa to pamper yourself with a vast assortment of treatments. I highly recommend this hotel if your going to Beijing for a day, or a week, or longer. Conveniently located near the airport with shuttles every 20-30 minutes to the airport.
"Room is too warm..."
The hotel room is uncomfortably set at 26 degree Celsius (78.8 degree Fahrenheit)! I lowered the thermostat reading to 21 but the room "stays" at 24 degree. Check-in staff aggressively promotes the upgrade option. No businesses (restaurants or shopping) nearby except for other airport hotels. The airport shuttle is very convenient and runs every 20 minutes. Overall the services are very good and staffs very attentive.
Great airporthotel! Good service, large, nice rooms. Extra points for the nice shower. The Long Bar is always a treat when the Beijing gets to you. Excellent breakfast. Located a short shuttleride from T3.
A quick stay at the Hilton in Beijing Airport is a plus. Is an absolute remarkable hotel with superb service since you get on the bus that runs every 20 m in from the terminal. Most of the time make a layover in beijing one of the key issues is that you feel tired from the trip or you going to start a long journey, the selection of this hotel is perfect to rest and wind up with relaxation pre or post long journey. I won't hesitate to visit this Hotel again if I have to do a layover in Beijing Capital Airport
"Very Nice Hotel"
We stayed at the Beijing Hilton near the airport for two nights – strictly to recover from jet lag. We were upgraded to a King Deluxe Suite which was perfect since we each slept at random times and didn’t want to bother the other person. The Suite included a full bathroom with a tub and shower, plus a half bathroom – also perfect so one of us could be sleeping and the other use the half bathroom without opening the bedroom door. There were two televisions (with 5 English channels), lots of furniture and storage, a big safe – and the ceilings were very high making the room seem even larger. The hotel is massive, from our room to the Executive Lounge was ¼ mile (we measured with our phones). The Executive Lounge was lovely with a nice breakfast and a substantial evening happy hour that included wine and liquor. The coffee maker was broken during our stay so the staff would go somewhere to get coffee for us, we are huge coffee drinkers and hated to keep asking for coffee – even though we were assured they didn’t mind getting it for us. I also should mention we had excellent in-room coffee, the hotel would provide as many coffee pods for the maker as we wanted, free of charge. There is a shuttle running between the hotel and airport, every 20 minutes for Terminal 3 and every 30 minutes for Terminal 2. The Hilton is ½ mile from the airport and very walkable – exit Terminal 3 on the 1st level, turn left, stay on the sidewalk until you see the hotel. We did not do this with luggage but it probably would not be that big of a deal. We went to the airport a few times just for the walk and because of restaurants, shops and a post office that sells international stamps. There is an ATM in the hotel just off the lobby, several little shops; we never had a wait for the elevators. There was a note over the sinks in the bathroom saying that the water was safe but it was not recommended to drink, so they provided complimentary bottled water in the room and the executive lounge. Most of the staff spoke excellent English, communication was not difficult. As much as we loved this hotel we would stay here again only if we had an early morning flight, it is just not convenient to Beijing, and, other than the airport, there is not much to see around the hotel.
