"Good hotel with excellent service"
The entrance to the Hilton is modest by comparison to some, but an exceptionally comfortable and well-run hotel awaits you. Ground floor had reception area and a lounge area called the Library- very inviting and luxurious without being overblown. This sets the scene for the entire hotel- impressively luxurious without unnecessary ostentation. Lots of thinking has gone into room design - they are generous in size and arranged into "zones" for wardrobe and luggage, bathroom (including a very welcome full size, deep bath), bed area and work desk. An excellent lighting system allows you to create different lighting levels in each area and electric curtains and blinds permit further light adjustment. Bathroom can be part of the room or separated- screens slide to accommodate either option. The mini bar is probably the most impressive and interesting I have seen in any hotel. It looks like a chest and opens to reveal a beautiful cut glass interior. Consoles in the wall beside each room door allows newspapers to be delivered in a more civilised manner than thrown in the floor. The executive lounge seems to be the perfect size for the volume of guests - often busy but never crowded. Staff here are very good indeed, even bringing an iPad I left in the lounge to me in my room before I realised it was missing. Concierge and porter staff are great too. This was my third stay and I shall return.
"Excellent hotel at great location. Executive lounge one of Hiltons best."
I stayed at the Hilton for 4 nights and very much enjoyed the hotel, service and location. Staff, particularly at executive lounge and concierge, were attentive and professional. Lounge breakfast was one of the best I have seen. Room was very comfortable although location and window size drew in less natural light. Swimming pool and gym were good exercise outlets. Location within walking distance of tianamen square and forbidden city, plus plenty of shopping and restaurants. I would say that the hotel is very well managed and I will stay there again.
"One of the best stays that I have ever had!"
This hotel could not do anything better if it tried. First, the service is just amazing. My wife and I were here over Thanksgiving and not only did we receive a Diamond member upgrade, the access to the executive lounge, (amazing BTW) and a suite for our room, but to top it all off, this hotel has the ability to change money as well. The staff has handy cards to give the taxis so they know where you are going and another card to get back. They even made a reservation for us at a local restaurant we really wanted to try. We LOVED this hotel and will stay here every time we are in Beijing!
"Luxury, Comfort and Great Service"
My 4 year old daughter and I had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The location is amazing, just a block behind the colorful, pedestrian street of Wangfujing and about a 15 minute walk to the gates of Forbidden City and Tiananmen. The room was comfortable and stylish with a fantastic deep tub that my daughter loved. The staff in the club room were amazing -- I traveled with another single mom and her 2 year old son and the staff were all incredibly kind and attentive with the children. They have a list of English DVDs that can be borrowed, with movies for adults and children. Some of the movies did not play well, but still a great service. The one drawback was the pool; the temperature was too cold to enjoy for long.
"Wonderful stay, despite awkward check in..."
Upon pulling up to this hotel, it had a nice feeling. It was a newer and modern building which gave a good feel. As a diamond member, apparently you can check in at the concierge desk if the normal check in line is too long which I did not know, but that was okay. As I was checking with a lady (forgot her name, but I believe her name tag said manager in training), there was another lady next to her by the name of Martina Scorza who kept getting frustrated with their money counting machine. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day on top of that but she was blatantly rude to the lady who was checking me in during her fiasco with the machine. However, I had a very nice room, in which they did upgrade me because of my status. The ladies in the executive lounge were very nice and helpful. Other reviews mention there being a night market near by, which there is however during the night you have to walk down a dark and empty street to get there. It's about a 5-7 minute walk. Overall, had a great experience, and good vibe from this hotel!
