"Very disappointed "
I stayed here as a surprise Valentine's visit with my fiancé, but this Hilton was not like what I have come to expect from Hilton hotels. As a Hilton Honors member, I routinely visit Hilton hotels while I travel. However, this hotel just seemed to lack the service and basic amenities of other Hilton hotels. First, I went to two different floors to obtain ice (ice not on every floor) and the machines did not work on either floor nor was there appropriate signage. When I contacted the front desk to ask where else I could find ice, they told me it would be delivered to my room. I thought this was really nice, however it was not delivered for over an hour. The wifi which was included as a honors member barely worked and continuously shut off. I have traveled to small hotels in other countries that offered better internet service and this was supposed to be a "reward". I requested a king size bed and this was clearly stated in my reservation. However, the man at the front desk told me what was stated on my online reservation really didn't matter and I had two full size beds. When I objected he told me he would "take care of me" and give me the king bed and acted like he was doing me a favor. The hotel was also not in the most convenient location for sightseeing in Boston, but I blame myself for this as I should have been more familiar with the area. Finally, I arrived before check in around 1 PM and realize I should not expect a room until the actual starting check in time but I have never had to wait over two hours for a room to be available and was not able to check in until right around 3 PM. I understand the stated check in time is 3 PM, however most resorts are flexible and provide rooms once they are clean and available. Very disappointed this hotel did not live up to what I have come to expect from Hilton Hotels, especially as a rewards member. In the future I intend to investigate other hotel chains that provide better customer service.
"Great staff, nicely updated rooms"
I stayed here for 1 night while in town for a meeting at the Haynes convention center across the street. The staff were very friendly. The check-in staff immediately accommodated my request for a late check-out. The doorman was very helpful with directions & helping uber drivers. Loved the welcome chocolate on my bed. And for once, the heat/ac unit didn't keep me up by clicking on/off throughout the night.
"Central Location-Comfortable Accommodations"
An overnight in Boston for a brief college tour of 4 schools was made better by the wonderful room and great service provided by the front desk. They helped us with public transportation which seemed a bit intimidating to this country bumpkin. Although costs in the city are higher than other places, we were able to park our car for over 24 hours for $43 which seemed almost reasonable. The room itself seemed reasonable for a downtown location. I would definitely return to this hotel.
"Too hot too stuffy too loud"
We could hear mechanical noises almost all the time, was it the elevator wheel' Maybe... Floors lower down may be unable to hear this sound. We can't be sure. It was a very industrial sound and sounded like a bowling ball the size of a VW rolling across a concrete floor somewhere. Regardless, it was very loud in room 2212. Having said that, the staff here is amazing and work hard for their jobs. They should be supported by a hotel that offers better climate and noise controlled rooms.
"Great hotel and location"
The hotel has a very friendly and helpful staff. It's modern and clean, and is in a great location. They also have a complementary van to and from the train station and airport. Highly recommended. The rooms are fairly large and the shower is hot and strong.
