"Ladies weekend celebration"
Recommend executive king size rooms. Bathroom has separate bath and shower which is very handy when two of you are trying to get ready for a night out. This hotel holds a central position with easy access to night life and shopping. Executive lounge is on 7 th floor - only downside is that it was full but we were catered for downstairs at Grey's restaurant. Breakfast the following morning back at the 7th floor executive lounge with glorious views of the castle, the stadium and even castle coch in the distance . 20 metre swimming pool with jacuzzi alongside fully equipped gymnasium.
"Business trip average stay"
Not the best Hilton I've stayed in. Great location easy access into town however executive rooms are basic and over priced. If your going to stay here don't bother paying extra for the upgrade rooms, it really isn't worth it.
"Great hotel, excellent localation"
This is the hotel to stop in when in Cardiff. Its location opposite the Castle is ideal, and is very close to the shopping centre and the Millennium stadium. Great rooms with all that you require. I slept well, bed is comfortable. On site parking is available which is important in a city centre. All the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is a good quality
"Don;t stay on party nights"
Booked this hotel for a friend's 50th Birthday celebration as a gift. Requested two rooms close together in a quiet part of the hotel when booking. Arrived to find a lovely surprise cake for our friend but it went down hill from there. Two rooms as requested close together on 3rd floor balcony overlooking the main function area and bar. No sleep until all the xmas parties had finished 4am we finally got to sleep due to the noise!.Feeling very tired the next morning I complained about the noise only to get an apology and my £25 valet car parking refunded. Too tired to use the rest of the facilities. Very disappointed as the member of staff who took the complaint agreed that the noise travels up to these rooms so acknowledged that there is a problem with the layout of these rooms. One does not expect to spend the best part of £100 a night to have no sleep. Our beds might as well of been next to reception. Will be using the Novotell next time we stay in Cardiff!
What can I say, the team here are fantastic, always going that extra mile. Even in the executive lounge, as a gluten intolerant I thought, "oh well I'll have some veg sticks and peanuts", no, the lovely host went and retrieved a bunch of edible food from the kitchen for me. This kind of service runs throughout the hotel. Amazing!!
