Excellent hotel in brilliant location with friendly and attentive staff although food service in evenings is expensive. Location set on lovely sheltered cove is probably with very few equals -- 5 starComment of M. Darrell , United Kingdom the 2015-04-08
"Excellent in almost every way!"
We liked the hotel very much. Yes, It is an older building, but our rooms were in excellent shape! Executive room stuff are simply the best! Everybody in the hotel is ready and able to help! And it looks more like the culture then the training or a good combination of both! The hot water was worm, but I am sure they will take care of it! Beach is very good, but smallish... I am very concern what happens there when the hotel is at full occupancy! You definitely need a car and there is plenty of parking space!
"Curaçao heaven, such and enjoyable and relaxing time. We look forward to our next visit!"
For being an older hotel, they do a great job with keeping the property beautiful and rooms clean and bright! The staff from the front desk to housekeeping cannot do enough for you, every time we are here I feel special and truly cared about.
It was a relaxing stay, nine days at this hotel. The main pool and beach are great. There is great snorkeling right next to the hotel. The kiddie pool was a joke. Totally run down and a possible plastic $50 Walmart play structure in the middle. Both the exterior and interior of this hotel are in dire need of maintenance and updating. The room had broken tiles on the floors and balconies. The walls need reprinting. There was rust or blood on our lamp shade. Not what I would expect from the Hilton brand. The food is overpriced and does not provide a lot of options. $21 for breakfast. Expect to pay $200 dollars for a sit down dinner with drinks. The bar food is less, $16 to $20 for a burger. The service is spotty. Many times during breakfast, I needed to get up and fetch my own coffee and water. Then the staff would get annoyed when I did this. There's not a firm grasp on customer service, some were decent but most ignored you or walked away rather than asking what you wanted. This was no hot water the last five days of our stay in our room. The maid service either didnt show, were there before 9am or after 430 pm when you were returning to the room. This is a three star hotel at best, but probably closer to two stars.
"If you know what to expect, you won't be disappointed"
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip, and was a little worried about the quality of the hotel based off of other reviews, however, I ultimately had a great stay. Yes, the hotel is outdated and the decor in the rooms is rundown, but my room was clean and I experienced great service as a Diamond member by the executive lounge attendants. The wifi was strong in my room and the lounge so I had no issues working and I was even able to pick up a weak wifi signal by the pool. The breakfast in the executive lounge was perfect for me and as I had early work days there was a good selection of sliced veg, meats, cheese and pastry for me from 7-8am. The evening reception food wasn't very robust but it worked for what I needed and honestly I've had worse at other Hiltons in the US. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again after this visit.
This hotel is outdate. The bar and restaurant have flies so bad you can't enjoy your food or drinks. The staff is very nice which made the stay bearable. The lobby has stray cats and dogs that roam through it at times. The beach is very rocky.
