Excellent hotel in brilliant location with friendly and attentive staff although food service in evenings is expensive. Location set on lovely sheltered cove is probably with very few equals -- 5 starComment of M. Darrell , United Kingdom the 2015-04-08
"My favorite Hilton property in the Caribbean"
My wife and I just completed a 17 night stay at the Curacao Hilton, this being our fourth stay at this property. While this is an older property and could use some updates, the positives make it the the complete package for a relaxing and fun filled stay on one of our favorite islands. First, the location in the Piscadera area is nice. It is close to Willemstad and yet outside the hustle and bustle of the big city. The hotel is located on the site of a 16th Century Dutch fort which is kind of cool. It has a nice beach with on site diving and an on site dive shop. While we were there, they were having to repair the boat dock which was damaged by wave damage from Hurricane Matthew in October, but repairs were underway. They were also upgrading the beach huts as well so that more of these were available. The rooms all have balconies. Ours was on the beach side and had a awesome view of the beach and Caribbean. The rooms have a good sided refrigerator, but no microwave. The bathroom has rain fall shower heads. The executive lounge is open for a continental breakfast and a happy hour with houvre d'oeuvres and cheaply priced drinks. It is fairly small and can be quite busy during happy hour. The breakfast restaurant Aqua was awesome. As Hilton Diamond members we received the buffet complimentary. It had a wide selection of hot and cold items including a daily selection of hot and cold local dishes and an omelette station for eggs cooked to order. The highlight however is the Mimosa/Bloody Mary Station which was stocked daily and self serve. We loved this as the breakfast stayed open until 11am every day except Sunday which it closed at 10:30am. This made everyday a Champagne brunch. The lobby and main tiki bar (Capt Bleigh's) benefit from the constant trade wind as does the restaurant which keeps thing comfortable. The smaller beach bar (Celeste) runs themed evening meals including Steak nights on Saturday. Cielo's is the outdoor evening restaurant which offers seafood and Italian fare. They even offered a special Thanksgiving menu for the Americans to get some turkey. Add to this an on site casino open 10am to 4am and you don't have to leave the property, but you will want to see Curacao as it is a very cosmopolitan island with lots to see and do.

"Too noisy for people who need sleep rather than partying"
Very expensive for no sleep and inconvenient location for all marathon events. We spent three nights and even wearing noise-cancelling headphones (which then force you to sleep on your back), probably got less than 10 hours sleep in the 3 nights combined. People who stayed near the marathon start/finish fared much better -- I was fooled by Hilton being listed on the marathon home page as a sponsor so I thought that meant they would be helpful instead of terribly inconvenient not just for sleep but in the tremendous challenge of getting to and from the marathon -- in face, we abandoned getting back to the hotel after the marathon and just went to the airport to fly on with no showers or clean clothing.
"Love Hilton Curacao"
Great location, hotel is a little old, but clean and affordable. Meals seem a little expensive. Some damage from hurricane Matthew had not been repaired yet - the pier was closed and quite a bit of debris around the dive shop.
"Teriffic vacation spot"
Worn but perfectly fine property with all sorts of activities to pamper guests: beach, pool, bars, restaurants, fantastic staff. A great value, especially for HHonors members. Take the twice-daily free shuttle to downtown Willemsted. Enjoy the pool with a view of the Caribbean. Relax on the beach. Enjoy a drink from the pool/beach bar. Eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the two restaurants or the main/lobby bar. Possible to never leave the property and have a relaxing vacation, but there are plenty of water activities and sightseeing options, too. We had a great time. Highly recommended.
