Had another wonderful visit to Hilton. Staff is excellent. Accommodations excellent and cozy. Very clean and upgraded and very nice. Beach fabulous. Kareem was exceptional. She even remembered us from last year when we arrived. Made us feel very special. Shirley housekeeping manager was wonderful. Harol (without the D. bartender. Extraordinaire. Great place. We will be back.
We vacationed in Curacao Oct 2016, for a week. The Hilton is very quiet and clean. The staff is amazingly over the top friendly. Our only complaint was the air-conditioning, was non, we kept ours on 60 degrees and it was still not cool. But it's an old hotel and I hear they are getting ready to update. The water, the beach, beautiful. I just wish they had trash cans full of water bottles on ice, cause it was humid.
Nice hotel, bit out dated but wonderful private beach, not fare from Willemstad ( 10 minutes taxi drive $15,- ) next to restaurant Pirate Bay . free use of towels , 2 pools, 3 bar's, fitness room, private boot etc etc
Went here for our honeymoon. We love the designer of this hotel. He also designed another hotel in San Juan Puerto Rico. It reminds me of a simpler time. Hotel has a retro 1960s vibe which I love. At night they have bands that play tropical music. Beach is very clean and nice. Water is clearest and most beautiful. Rooms are a little older but who cares! You get your own private balcony.

This was my worst 4 star caribbean hotel XP ever. Even deceptive pricelists and behaviour In the last few years 1 have stayed in several 4 star hotels on Curacao and Aruba in the Caribbean area. This was the first and last time I booked the Hilton. Here are my pros and some “serious” cons Pros – Rooms are big enough and the beds are very good. - Quiet at night - Spacious balcony with nice views - Small but nice pool and nice sea entrée. - Not to much families with small children (if you like those you have to place this at cons ) Cons – (some) - Deceptive ( see *1 and photo evidence) Never xp that before --- read --- - Scum taxidrivers – all taxidrivers (frontdesk called them) from Hilton to other places overcharged us or tried it. We know because there are a lot of fixed prices and return cab’s charged less. - Frontdesk is not supportive and not friendly (read *2 for just 1 of my xp) - Its old and run down even if they refurbished the place. Door of bathroom was rotting, noisy airco, lot of stains in carpet, etc) - Bathroom only have 1 tap. So no cold and hot water but just 1 temperature !!!!!!! Sometimes hot enough and sometimes just cold showers …… ! LOL in a $210,- p/n room. - Bad neighbourhood. Staff warned us not to take a walk to pirate bay (10 minutes) because of robberies in the area. Maybe it was just to get us in a cab who will charge you $12.- or more for a 2 minute ride - > 5 km from places to be like riffort or “pontjes bridge” . to remote. - The breakfast – enough choices but quality is not to good. Just ok but overpriced for what you get. Lot of birds around the tables and kitchen/buffet area. - Wifi till you check out. So …. You have to check out at 11:00 am. If you have to wait for a few hours you have to find the places with wifi in the hotel area like the coffee bar. *1 - Deceptive – See my picture – pricelist/menu said “prices include 9% local tax” just at my last day some of the quests informed me of the scam that even if it’s written on the menu they still charge 9%. So you pay double taxes. I ordered 1 beer just to see if he was right. And he was. I ask the bartender how this was possible. He said ….. well the text on the menu is wrong. Hahahahah yeah sure. So why don’t you replace them if you know they are wrong ' ….. no answer. After I spoke to 2 other staff members the manager arrived to our table. I told him my observation. Not only I have paid to much for this beer, but also for all my other drinks and food. And not only me but all the guests, every day. To my suprice he told me I was right and the menu/pricelist gave false information and I paid to much. BUT …. He never suggests to return money or just do something to compensate. Unbelievable they know it and they don’t care ……. *2 - around 1:00 am I came to the hotel and my doorcard was not working. I went to the frontdesk. Nobody. I walked around to see if I could spot some staff or guard ….. nobody. I rang the frontdesk bell …. And yessss. After a few minutes someone came out a backdoor. I told her my problem. Nothing from her. No “how can I help you”, no nothing. Just “pfffffff”, “hmmmmm”, “ehhhhh” when she looked in the computer. Rebooted my card , gave it to me …….. I just stop writing from here. Maybe a 3 star at the best, but they charge as a 4 star hotel. So for what you get, bad behaviour of some staff, no hospitality, ignoring guests, charging double taxes, etc … just 1 star Don’t go here. Same price but much better quality and hospitality at the Renaissance for example.
