"Great location and good deal"
I stayed at the Hilton in Dresden with my wife. The location of the hotel is the best. Right in downtown. A great place to walk in the city. The room is comfortable and good size. The hotel staff was helpful and kind. And the price was quite good for the quality of the hotel. so overall it is a good deal. One minor lowlight is the parking. It is expensive and it is quite confusing to get to the hotel. I highly recommend to stay in this hotel when visiting Dresden
"Great location, helpful staff, pity about wifi"
The reviews have said it all before. The location was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. We booked two double rooms for a couple and one single person. We were at first given two 5th floor rooms facing internally with single beds. Once we queried the lack of a double bed we were offered another external room overlooking Frauenkirche which still had single beds but they offered to push them together. We took this room as we preferred the view. I did wonder why we were not offered the room with the better view in the first place. This second room was noisy at night when the window was open from the cafes below, but we did not mind. However, if you like to sleep with an open window and noise bothers you, you may prefer to sacrifice a view for peace and quiet and go for an internal facing room. As other guests have commented the wifi is 15 euro a day and even then you have to sign in every single day which is time consuming and annoying. You can avoid this fee by joining the loyalty program, but you may not be able to do this if you booked through an agency such as Expedia. In this day and age it is disappointing that a top rating hotel does not offer free and continuous wifi access. I have stayed in dodgy hotels through Europe that still offer free wifi. As far as I can see the hotel has not responded to this particular issue in its published responses to reviews. Another thing to be wary of is the city tax which is 5 euro per person per night and may not be included in the advertised price. So check this.
"Perfect Location in the heart of Dresden"
This beautiful property sits you directly in the heart of the city centre, with many of the sites within a 5 minute walking distance. The rooms were larger than others I experienced in Germany, and included washcloths and, hand lotion, and conditioner....items not found in many hotels in Europe, unlike the U.S. The downside to this property is to get there you either have to walk a mile through the shopping district (a nice walk when it's not raining and 50 degrees), or pay about 10 Euro for a taxi. It also does not include free wi-fi. Other than that, I would certainly recommend! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
"perfect location and nice room"
While I was staying for 2 days, frequent touch on the Terrace of Brul and symbolic cathedral just nearby hotel, even at night was available. Excellent location just behind residence palace and next to St Maria cathedral, and just below the terrace of Brul is exceptionally outstanding for tourist in Dresden. Every sightseeings are in all cornerstone. Parking place is sufficient, too.
"Ideal upmarket hotel for the tourist"
There are more luxurious hotels in Dresden, but none better located as just about everybody else has noted. It has an underground car park, but you won't be needing the car once you've got to Dresden. The hotel is modern and very large, with huge public spaces. We got upgraded to a suite, which was enormous, but probably not typical of a normal room. Breakfast is the normal Hilton buffet, which is great. The exec lounge was nice enough, with lots of snacks and drinks in the evening. There is a proper gym and small pool, Unless you crave absolute luxury this is probably the best place to stay in Dresden if you're seeing the sights (of which there are so many it is overwhelming). I found all the staff helpful and friendly, which given what my fellow countrymen did to the place 70 years ago was very welcome.
